Michael Flatley, whom I have somewhat affectionately labeled "DANCLRD" for that one week he filled in for DANCMSTR Len Goodman on this season’s Dancing With the Stars, will host his own dance series on NBC. Hmmm…how can we title this sucker so that it’s basically a synonym for ‘DWTS’ but also kind of one-ups it a bit…Macy’s Stars of Dance: The Series? People Who Really Are Stars DANCE? Dance Superstars? Nope. Flatley’s show will be called Superstar Dancers of the World. The WORLD! Oh, they went there. American Idol evil genius Simon Fuller and So You Think You Can Dance? judge/troll Nigel Lythgoe are to blame for this mess.
In other words, yes, I will be watching. Don’t worry. I hate me, too.

My parents went on a Michael Flatley craze in the 90′s, and I remember many a sunday afternoon watching MF and his irish dancing people tear up the stage in multiple productions that we now own on VHS. The best one has to be Feet of Flames. Riverdance? So over it.
Will it be a variety show or a reality competition show like DWTS? If they bring in great dancers from around the world as guests, it might be good.

crap. won’t be watching. try to rip off dwts as closely as possible. let’s see a little originality. By no means am I knocking the dancers that will appear on this show. They are super talented stars of dance. but…a dancing with the stars results show is sometimes hard to sit through. a show that’s at least an hour, probably two a week, won’t be getting the love from me.

Why do many people dislike or “hate” Michael Flatley?? I think that not liking or hating a person for loving what they do is toxic. Michael Flatley is an accomplished dancer with unbelievable talent. He brings acknowledgement to our Irish culture. He keeps the tradition of Irish dance alive. Now,if you know him personally, & don’t like him that is one thing, but to slam or put down a man without knowing him is unfair. Michael Flatley is an Irish dancer & an entertainer.
