Aside from being rather clunkily written, last night’s episode of everyone’s favorite forensics dramedy was quite welcome after a too-long baseball break, wouldn’t you agree? It wasn’t a particularly intricate case — artist found dead inside one of his own smushed-car sculptures — but there was still lots to chew on: Hey, that’s NewsRadio‘s Vicki Lewis, sporting four eyebrows and pancake foundation Michael Jackson would die for! Wow, Angela’s much-hyped ex-lover Roxie–played by Nichole Hiltz, so great on In Plain Sight this summer– is indeed a woman, and a hot woman at that! By god, Sweets and the diarrhea-mouthed, skull-crushing grad student are getting it on! Plus, now I can’t stop wondering if I missed something by not watching The Real Housewives of Orange County!
What did you think, Bones fans? Was the whole suicide Macguffin a waste of time or a necessary platform to launch the Roxie subplot (which promises to take the Angela/Hodgins relationship to all-new levels of awkward)? Did you see the murderer coming from a mile away, mostly because no one wearing that much makeup is ever to be trusted? Does the fact that Sweets and that annoying girl are dating mean we’re not rid of her, and if so, is there any way that we might be rid of her? It did seem like a long time since Bones was on. My TV is not happy unless David Boreanaz is on it once a week.
I found there was not enough Bones and Booth in thie episode…and I still don’t know why they had to break Angela and Hodgins. But, overall I was happy to have a new Bones and I like Sweets!!

I was annoyed to see Carla Gallo back up until Daisy and Sweets revealed at the end that they’d been seeing each other on the down low. She is absolutely annoying in the lab, but I’m all right with her and Sweets being together, as long as it happens offscreen!
I adore David Boreanaz, so it was fantastic to have him back and he looked amazing in this epi. The case was ok, and really enjoyed the Booth and Angela scenes, they have a great chemistry.

I’m new to Bones this year, but I love it!! I’ve tried catching up on what I’ve missed by reading about it online, but I can’t really say I get why Angela and Hodges broke up. I like them! Is there any chance they’ll end up back together?
Anyone happen to know the actress’s name who plays the intern? I can’t figure out where I have seen her before. Thanks.

Whit, her name (kindly provided a few comments down and a couple hours earlier) is Carla Gallo. She was also in “40 Year Old Virgin”, “Superbad”, etc.
They did allude to her and Sweets starting something up in the last episode she was in, though.
Why have they made Booth an idiot this year? He was always the smart one, able to figure out the human relationships and quick to assess the situation correctly. Now he has Sweets in his ear, he asks Angela to help with the art stuff, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, he stopped wearing those suits that made him look sooooo good. Please, bring back the old, confident Booth!
I don’t think anyone can possibly understand the delirious excitement that I have about next week’s Bones. I was positively squealing my head off when I saw Brenden Fehr, who I have loved since my obsession with Roswell and there’s going to be KISSING. Seriously, dying of excitement right now.
Megc, well many many fans aren’t happy, and that is an understatement!!! with Brennan kissing Booth’s brother for heavens sake! Puke!! Gawd, I feel so sorry for Booth! It is just one kiss though and by the end she will want to hit Jared not kiss for the horrible way he treats Booth! No lie!
Lisamama, Booth was amazing in this epi, he was smart, funny, hot, caring and alpha male for Angela – the guy is fantastic!
Goodness me but David Boreanaz is a freaking hot godlike figure and wearing black tonight, love him in black!
