Who's ready for another 'Star Wars' MMO?

Oldrepublic_lAt a Tuesday press event held in San Francisco, representatives from LucasArts and Bioware announced a new massively-multiplayer online game, Star Wars: The Old Republic, which will be based on Bioware’s popular and critically acclaimed Knights of the Old Republic console-game series. The MMO takes place three centuries after KotOR 2 (that is to say, some 3,500 years before the events described in the films) and will let players choose between being aligned with either the Galactic Republic or Sith Empire. They did not announce a release date or pricing plan. The Old Republic will be the second Star Wars-based MMO, joining the now mostly irrelevant Star Wars Galaxies, which, at least for the moment, is still an ongoing enterprise. Quick show of hands: Who’s interested in playing this game? Would the ability to play a Jedi in the KotOR universe make you want to try an MMO for the first time?  And does anybody who played Galaxies remember the epic fail of the hated New Game Enhancements?
