Popular TV personality Sarah Palin pageant-walked onto last night’s Saturday Night Live to watch Tina Fey impersonate her during a press conference and (I can’t believe I’m about to type this) "raise the roof" during a "Weekend Update" rap that blatantly made fun of her. Watch the opener, below.
Palin and Fey really were the media queens this weekend — to be clear, that’s "the liberal elite media as well as the liberal regular media." You betcha! Watch more of this weekend’s Palin-related funnies — from Letterman, Bill Maher, and more — over at Sound Bites.

Still hate her.
Tina Fey is gold. Pure gold. And bravo to SNL for making the most out of Palin, whose handlers tried to do everything humanly possible to take all comedy and humor out of the skits she appeared in.
This was kinda boring. And I’d rather see Palin answer questions on the issues, instead of advancing her career as a celebrity.
This was, very literally, a joke. I admit that I laughed, but that’s beside the point. Her whole appearance was a slap in the face of the voters. Politics and entertainment are two different things and shouldn’t mix. Keep to the issues! Of course the problem is that her insane policies doesn’t get her votes…
It was disappointing, bland, not funny. Certainly not the home-runs Tina Fey hit in her other at-bats.
She wasn’t funny, they had to throw everything but the kitchen sink in there just to try and make it passable. Man I cant wait for November 5th so we can send this bimbo back to the Great White North and NEVER have to see her again.
I didn’t think Sarah Palin was that funny on it. It was mainly Tina Fey’s impression that got all the jokes as well as all the special guests that were there. Only really funny part was seeing her dance to the rap Amy Poehler did
Palin basically sat there and the SNL cast danced around her. Palin herself did nothing and was not funny at all. Although kudos to SNL for making fun of Palin RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER. I’m not sure she even noticed. The rap was great, but I kept thinking Amy was going to put herself into labor!
I SO tuned in to laugh at Caribou Barbie but then she was great LOL I thought she did OK – I was SHOCKED to see Alec Baldwin participate like that, they must have paid him a fortune to stand next to the devil incarnate in his mind LOL hilarious. And Amy Poehler stole the show, that rap was hysterical hahahah
Sarah Palin was NOT FUNNY last night. Everyone in the mainstream media is kissing her butt, except Pophangover’s review. I recommend stopping by to read it, it had me rolling. Here’s the URL :

Well, this had to happen eventually. Palin seemed really nervous, but to the cast’s credit, they tried to make her comfortable while they were ripping her apart. Also, the “raise the roof” thing WAS very funny.
I give kudos to Palin for doing something most politicians would never consider in their wildest dreams! It’s a little hard to digest, but I think it was bold for her to confront the guys who blow jokes at her every weekend by actually coming on their show! She’s good, and whether you like it or not, she’s got winning personality.
DNC the most racist party ever.[NBRA.info get the facts] Murtha is right, white democrats cannot vote for a black. it is against the party’s foundation.1866 civil rights was passed.DNC passed jim crow laws.
Palin was lame lame LAME. I agree that the rest of the cast did more than their share to try and make the skits work. Poehler’s rap was pretty damn funny.
But I suppose we must give credit to Palin for sitting there and taking it. I don’t think most of us could.
I do wonder how uncomfortable Alec Baldwin was.
Didn’t get to Weekend Update because the second skit was so d*&^ awful!
Palin as VP is a truly terrifying thought…
good grief this was a terrible episode. the mcgrubber spots made it barely tolerable.
Tina Fey is a much better Sarah Palin than Sarah Palin will EVER be!
I am terrified of the prospect of Sarah Palin as VP, but I have to say that she earned a bit of respect from me. She was not funny, I don’t think she was supposed to be. I would never be able to be face to face with people who clearly despise me and make a mockery of me week after week. Somehow she did that without shooting them. Respect.
Why is Palin so damn popular? Hasn’t anyone in this country bothered to learn of her dangerously extreme views, her scandalous personal history, and her total lack of any significant experience? She’s a vicious, slanderous b**ch who, among other things, questions the patriotism of those who disagree with her.
Why people seem to like her so much–and why SNL actually invited her to be on–is totally beyond me. I hope that after this Election Day we’ll never have to see or hear from her again.
I have been told by my family not to discuss her anymore because I am too disrespectful of a woman who has accomplished much more than I have in my life. After all, she’s a governor and I’m not! She has to make important decisions and I guess I don’t. So, as one does with family, I will stuff it all down and smile and say “Wow, great job Sarah – I look forward to the day you lead the country because you are better than me!” I am very nervous because so many people that I know see her as a great sport and an incredible role model. I’m sure she’s smart (and it is apparent that she plays that down – I don’t think all of the fumbling is real) and she is savvy enough to be sure of how to manipulate opinion to her advantage with her core supporters. That is what makes good politicians successful.
I wasn’t one bit surprised. McCain at least tried to participate – albeit kind of like your grandpa, trying lamely to be “hip.” If Palin had been willing or able to do anything they would have happily let her do it, as they have with other politicians from both sides of the aisle. She just sat there. No ability. No talent. No sign that she even got the jokes. As far as I’m concerned, this is the best indication so far of her capacity to serve in the White House: as window-dressing only.
When you compare Gov. Palin’s political experience with the freshman senator’s 148 (or so) days of actual time on the job, I can see why (pun intended), he is soooo much more qualified to be in a position of leadership. And as for her patriotism,
well at least she has some, as opposed to the fresman senator, who refers to the American flag as a synbol of oppression, and “has issues” with the National Anthem, because if refers to “bobms and warlike behavior”. Maybe the CHANGE that he repeatedly drones on about, will involve changing our flag, our National Anthem, and our silly old constitution, to make America a little more acceptable to his muslim bedfellows!
I think it is kind of sad when a candidate has so little substance and so little to offer that this is the take away from her campaign. This shows exactly why she can not be VP. She has nothing to offer politically. If she thinks being a goof will help her campaign, then she is just like all those other TV W H O R E S!! NO!!!
Steve,
I hope you realize how ignorant you sound with that statement. Your part of the reason its taken this long to elect an African American to the highest office in the land.
Sara Palin has jumped the shark
I totally agree with you queen! I have actually met her and talked to her. She was very condescending to me. She does act like her life is more important than anyone else’s. I truly do not want to see her in the white house. I did not vote for her when she ran for gov. in our state. Many Alaskans felt that she made us the laughing stock of the U.S., now we are all just embarrassed.
BTW I felt that Alec Baldwin was about to expolde. He didn’t even look at her. He must owe Lorne big time to appear with that MAVERICK. I loved when Amy rapped for the plumber to pull up his pants! Steve, you need some valium and the truth. Queen, I hear the same thing too! I guess we need to become gov before our opinion can count. Or at least illegally fire someone.
Are you there Steve, it’s me, Common Sense

Before you make an argument. Know your facts. Then maybe, just maybe, your position could be respected. Thanks so much
PS.
Love how Palin’s called a popular TV personality. HA HA
No one likes a bobm!
