Keesha Smith, Big Brother 10’s 29-year-old Hooters waitress from Burbank, Calif., talks to EW.com about her disdain for Memphis, that floater Jerry, and the message she received from Dan on the way out of the house.
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: So how are you feeling about Memphis this morning?
KEESHA SMITH: I’m not liking Memphis too much this morning.
In the episode, we really didn’t see Memphis explain why he was going to evict you. Did he say something to you that we didn’t see at home?
He never gave me any kind of explanation. He got up out of the chair and avoided me the rest of the time. I confronted him but he got up and he walked out of the room. He came to the sauna room and expected me to hug him!
Do you think there is anything you could have done differently?
I guess the only thing I could have done was maybe not be so friendly with Dan. That had a lot to do with it. If it came down to Memphis and Dan, I would have picked Dan in the end instead of him, and he saw my relationship with Dan getting stronger. That scared him.
Do you think Memphis was working with anyone in the house? Do you think he’s in an alliance with Jerry or Dan?
I’m not sure. There is so much going through my mind. There has to be something with Jerry in order for him to save Jerry. He couldn’t stand Jerry! I’m trying to put myself in his shoes. Jerry is more of a safe bet. He can beat Jerry in the competitions.
Why do you think Dan told you about taking Michelle?
I think that Dan told me about Michelle so I could work on votes for him in the jury house. He’s a smart guy.
What do you think about Dan taking Michelle to the island? What will that mean to the jury?
I don’t know if Dan has that good of a chance of winning this game. He’s done crazy things to people as far as hurt people’s feelings. If the jury looks at him as a game player — and he’s been a heck of a game player — he could win. He’s thrown some twists and turns in there. Out of the three left, he’s done a great job.
Dan left behind a cow for you that he said had a message on the bottom. It said hot. What does that mean?
I have absolutely no idea what it means! He kept saying look onthe bottom, look on the bottom. When I got out there with Julie, I’m looking at it and it just says hot.
How does it feel knowing that Jerry is in there and you’re not?
Oh…I don’t know what to say. Wow. I feel he got passed along. He kept getting passed along. He’s a 75-year-old man. We kept saying we’ll get him out later, but we all promised we wouldn’t do that. He never had to do anything in the game. Now I’m like, are you kidding me? Dude, you are 75 years old. He didn’t treat me too well. In the beginning, we got along very well, and I tried to show him respect because he’s 75 years old. I would feel sorry for him when he was out wandering by himself. But then I would try to talk to him and he would pop off. Jerry was very arrogant. He never would have gotten away with things in the house if he weren’t 75 years old.
Do you plan to campaign against Memphis in the jury house?
I’m not sure about that.
Who is the person you are not looking forward to seeing in the jury house?
That would be Miss April. We just don’t see eye to eye.
Aren’t you glad you weren’t like April and allowed Jerry to touch your chest on national TV?
I would have never allowed Jerry to do that on the first episode of Big Brother or ever in my life. Period.

So sad to see Keesha leave. And Memphis is an idiot. Even if he did have to evict her, how hard would it have been to say “Keesha, you are a great competitor, and I know you won’t pick me if you win, so I have to evict you.” Does he really expect her to give him the money now?
According to the live feeds, Memphis went into the DR and when he came out he told Dan that he was not allowed to tell keesha that he was voting her out. That was kinda odd. Also odd, Memphis indicated to Dan that it was ok to throw him under the bus with Keesha. Which Dan gladly did and probably secured her vote. Either Memphis is planning on taking Jerry to the final 2 with him, or he just hasn’t thought far enough ahead about getting jury votes. I still think he could beat Dan if they made the final two but it may be close. I would be horrified if one of them took Jerry to the finals and Jerry won. BB has given him a kind but clueless edit. Watching him on the live feeds, he’s defintately clueless, but wow, what a mean, nasty piece of work.
Memphis is an idiot. But Keesha should have cornered him and said simply ,’ if you evict me you won’t get my vote.’
I agree with CAB. How hard would it have been to admit “I think I have a better chance of beating Jerry in compeition. Sorry, Keesha, but you’re too big of a threat.” Big Brother contestants use that excuse all the time. Now, in the one case where it is COMPLETELY APPROPRIATE, Memphis clams up? Stupid!
keesha was robbed! And renny was right about memphis all along(not trusting him and telling keesha that he wasn’t to be trusted) i was hoping Keesha would make it to the final two, but unfortunately it just didn’t work out that way. I would hate to see Dan win,does anyone else think he is very ANNOYING and ARROGANT??! I’ve never liked jerry but i hope he makes it to the final two and wins it all, just so that memphis and dan finally get what they deserve; NOTHING.
Memphis probably costed himself $500,000. Was Keesha really a threat for the last HOH? She’a been as weak as Jerry in the endurance competitons and she doesn’t do well on challenges about facts in the house. So he threw away a jury vote for him because Jerry just a tad weaker. Smart game play there
I liked Keesha very much, but I love Dan, and hope that he wins. I think he was by far the smartest person & player in the house. It was actually quite a bit of fun watching him. Having said that, I feel his chances of winning are overall slim to none.
My hope is Keisha getsher 50K or 100K by ripping off them clothes and posing for playboy. She may have a shrill laugh but shes got a heck of a chest on her!
Keesha you got robbed. If Memphis is one of the final two I hope he gets nothing! I hope am hoping that Dan will take Jerry to the final two and throw Memphis under the bus. I absolutly hate Memphis.

Memphis said it was OK for Dan to throw him under the bus to Keesha because they agreed that Dan could work for Keesha’s jury vote, and Memphis could work for Jerry’s jury vote. They’re both still planning to take eachother to the end. I don’t understand why some people are upset at Dan. Although he didn’t come right out and tell Keesha what Memphis was planning to do, it was NOT Dan’s idea to get rid of Keesha–it was Memphis’s. Dan even tried to persuade Memphis in a subtle way to evict Jerry instead by telling him that Jerry was faking his neck injury, and would be more of a threat than Keesha in the physical part of the final HOH competition. I think the main reason Memphis chose to keep Jerry over Keesha is because he’s a loyal guy, and wants to keep his word to Jerry that he’ll take him to the Final 2 (although he plans to take Dan instead). There are only 2 people Memphis shook hands with and said that he’ll take to the Final 2: Dan and Jerry. He never shook hands with Ke

Sorry to see you go Keesha, we were rooting for you and Dan from the beginning. You were the nicest and most honest person in the house and it was amazing to see someone like that get so far, because it doesn’t usually happen. Usually the liers and floaters go far. We wanted to see you and Dan at the end, because you both played the best game! I think Memphis screwed himself, he is such a jerk,I know it’s a game and I love the way people trick each other to win, but he was just plain nasty (wimpy too) about it. You should have had a chance at final three. The comments he made were unecessary and that is when I really disliked him. He is one to talk about others, he can’t even admit he is a simple bartender, he has to call himself a mixologist! Memphis, I can’t stand Jerry, but I hope he beats you and you are the next one going to the jury house.

dan the man fooled you f though, it was His urging that got memphas to put you out. it was supposedly safer to keep jerry, but they both bo roke the last alliance they made, which was you, renny, memp and dan.

I hate that Memphis evicted Kee. She deserved to be in the final 3. At that point loyalty should have been the key factor. Although he thinks he can beat Jerry he should’ve thanked Kee for saving his butt and taken her. That was a snake move and she didn’t deserve it. I hope she is America’s choice for extra cash. Also, April making comments about Kee being a hooters girls….yada yada. She let Jerry grab her boobs, slept with a guy who is NASTY in looks and personality on TV. Kee rocked and I hope they ask her to be on Survivor.
It was HEARTBREAKING to see Keesha leave after ALL she did for those TWO!! I hope they both feel horrible about it!! You did a great job Keesha, and you should feel proud about your game play and how you were portrayed in the house. I would vote for you to win America’s Player – you deserve the money!!

Oh man Keesh….you are the only one who lost your chance. You can blame it on Meph, or Jerry, or Dan, but, you are the only one who did NOT win that POV. That was your only hope. You can’t blame it on anyone, but, you. Sorry sister, I love ya and thought you would do great, but, part of the game play is winning the comps. Maybe on the All-Stars you will do better at the “game”!
I am REALLY unclear on what people mean by Keesha doing stuff for Dan and Memphis. She, although quite sweet and sincere, hung on the coattails fo the alliance for the past 5 weeks. She did NOTHING smart or proactive at all.
Awww Keesha, watched the entire thing go down on the live feeds, so sorry this happened but Dan and Memphis cuaght you in their own little spider web…those two wimps simply thought they could beat Jerry going into the F3 comps easier than you. Sorry but Dan was just playing good cop to Memphis’s bad cop, and they’re doing the same thing to Jerry…it’s the Renegades to the end. I am not sorry that Keesha was evicted. Keesha its karma baby, you let Libra take the fall for you about Jessie’s eviction, and that you were the ringleader. And you said nothing and said it’s a game. Well, guess what it is a game, so goodb-bye. And you said you read people really well, I guess you didn’t read Dan and Memphis that well..HAHA
Keesha I have got to say that me and my hubby are very upset that Memphis did this to you. It still amazes me that he is in F3 without even 1 HOH win. WTH?!!! I understand that he is playing the game but he didn’t even think about the jury house. Let’s face it, Jerry will have 0 pull when it comes to swaying votes but Keesha will have Libra, Renny, herself, and possibly Michelle voting for Dan or Jerry. Memphis is a complete idiot and I sincerely hope that he is sitting somewhere alone soon and thinks “WOW, I guess I should have played my cards with Keesha.” You will get my vote and hubby’s vote as America’s favorite because dammit you deserve something for your honesty and loyalty, not to mention it may help cushion the blow from the screwing you got from Memphis. If I were Keesha, I would have smacked Memphis. What’s the deal? Memphis goes into DR and all of a sudden Jerry is the golden contestant and Memphis can’t explain anything to Keesha? Looks fishy to me. Jerry is a dirty old man – he looks like Jeff Dunham’s dummy Walter.
Keesha, you rock! You’re gorgeous and sweet and this gig will help you go far. Memphis may not be a womanizer but his ethics are not much better than his father’s. It’s a game, but his actions were cowardly. He could have given you advance warning of his abrupt change of heart.

Keesha was a jealous, catty player. She played based on how well she didn’t get along with the other attractive girls in the house (Angie and April). I’m not sad to see her lose.
Memphis is a mean SOB, Brian said from the start that if they did not get rid of him immediatly Memphis would win. Keesha should have atleast made it to the top 3. Karma is a b…. I almost thru up when April said she was prettier than Keesha and she has no right talking about dignity when she had sex on national T.V.
Sad to see Keesha go and Renny to for that matter, but it is a game. Wouldn’t consider Dan arrogant at all. I say he is playing an excellant game. WTG Dan.. big diff betwenn arrogance and confidence. TEAM DAN You Rock!
