FYI: That 'All Nighter' on Fuse is not 'The Allnighter'

I’d hate for anyone else to suffer this disappointment, so listen up: If you’re channel-surfing at 4 a.m., and you spot the listing All Nighter on Fuse, it’s not The Allnighter, the 1987 movie featuring "Susanna Hoffs, America’s hottest female rock singer, in her motion picture debut." (I’m quoting the trailer, which I’ve embedded below. You’ll also want to revisit the film’s stunning poster art.) Instead, it’s a two-hour block of music videos. CRUEL.

Am I the only one who’d kill to see good (but hot) girl Molly find that "one earth-shattering significant romance" before she graduates college — with her smokin’ surfer buddy C.J. — again?

Am I the only one who’s ever had their soul crushed by a misleading TV listing?

I like Hoffs as much as anyone else, but let’s please not criticize a music channel for playing music. That’s so rare these days.

I always wanted to see The Allnighter when it came out. I was enough of a Bangles fan, but I thought that looked fantastic and fun.
Now that I’m 20something years older, I’d still watch it, but with different criteria, and a lot of alcohol. But hey, Joan Cusack is in it. And Michelle Pfeiifer’s sister, Dede! So it can’t be THAT bad can it? (By the way, Susanna Hoffs got that role because her mom was the director.)

I loved this movie — one of those so stupid its good films and — I also had a crush on C.J. Thanks for memories. I wonder if the film is available anywhere…
