Today is Kevin Bacon’s 50th (!)birthday. Which makes me feel old, but time marches on, not only for Bacon, but for all the stars who share his birthday. There’s 40-year-old Billy Crudup (who starred in Almost Famous with FrancesMcDormand, who starred in Short Cuts with Fred Ward, who starred inTremors with Bacon), 57-year-old Anjelica Huston (who starred in The Golden Bowlwith Nick Nolte, who starred in Cape Fear with Illeana Douglas, whostarred in Stir of Echoes with KB), 47-year-old country singer Toby Keith (who starred in BrokenBridges with Kelly Preston, who starred in Jerry Maguire with TomCruise, who starred in A Few Good Men with you-know-who), and 38-year-old rocker Beck (who had a voice role in The Rugrats Movie, as did Whoopi Goldberg, who was in The Player with Tim Robbins, who was in Mystic River with Mr. B). Anyway, I could play Six Degrees all day with people who share Bacon’s July 8 birthday (including Jeffrey Tambor, Joan Osborne, Michael Weatherly, Milo Ventimiglia, and Sophia Bush), but I’ll leave that fun to you, PopWatchers. Bonus points if you can do it in a haiku.
