Marc Bernardin did.
(Marc Bernardin replies: I deny any and all allegations that the liquid streaming from my face was composed of tears. It was just a really spicy soda that I was drinking. That, combined with a freak atmospheric effect caused by over-humidifying air conditioning, resulted in the moisture upon my cheeks.)

I did! I did! But, I have teared up (at least) at the end of all of the Pixar movies but the Toy Story trilogy and Ratatouille. Wall E was excellent…
Marc Bernadin also dislikes Blade Runner, so who knows what other “hard to swallow” facts about him we’ll come to discover. BTW, doesn’t this mean he went to see Wall-E instead of Wanted or a Marvel movie this weekend?
What’s next? Bernadin’s “sci fi insider” will tell us all about how great “Kung Fu Panda” really was for grown ups?
That sounds good…enough for me to poop on!
I keeed! I keeed!
I am not the easiest to cry during movies… and ‘Wall-E’ didn’t exactly turn my eyes into faucets.
But I DID have watery eyes.
…during the beginning.
…and then a lot towards the middle.
…and then again as we approached the end.
…and then once more when the end did in fact happen.
What can I say? I’m a sucker for robot love, apparently.
I definitely got a little misty. This movie was so good. I kinda want to go see it again.
I’m not one to cry at movies, but I definitely got a little teary more than once. Like James said:
…during the beginning.
…and then a lot towards the middle.
…and then again as we approached the end.
…and then once more when the end did in fact happen.
That about sums it up for me, too.
Of course I did; you’d have to be kind of heartless not to.
only twice, and i didn’t realize it was happening until the tears were falling down my cheeks. but i think you must have no heart if you didn’t cry, i’m just saying.
Me too at the end. Sniff…
I did. I’ll admit that I’m a softie, but I can’t believe I cried over some cartoon robots. Le sigh.
I did. I recommend it highly and bring your tissues!
I got a bit misty-eyed when Eve goes to hold Wall-E’s hand, when he’s on the brink of life, and says its her “directive” (as opposed to saving the plant).
I didn’t cry, but I DID have a lump in my throat. It’s amazing that I actually cared enough to have a lump…well not so amazing when you consider that it’s PIXAR.
I had a lump the size of a baseball inside my throat throughout most of the time, but then it was quickly replaced by nausea when they showed how humankind was “living” in the cruiseship…UGH squared!!!
I forgot to mention that it speaks of the greatness of Pixar that they were able to make a cockroach cute and sympathetic. A COCKROACH!!! I ended up caring about that stupid bug…
I loved the movie, but I got only slightly teary-eyed at the end. Honestly, I got more emotional by a particular scene towards the end of “Sex and the City.” I don’t know what this says about me.
I got a more than a little misty eyed, and we stayed through the credits with the gorgeous artwork just so we could all “collect” ourselves.
BTW, what was the movie that Wall-E loved so much? I couldn’t place it, even though I’m sure it’s something totally obvious!
LadyTiger – That would be “Hello, Dolly!”
And yes, I got a bit sniffly. And I cared about that silly cockroach!
I teared-up a couple of times. The part where they were “dancing” in space really got to me, it was really touching. I choked up when I thought the cockroach had been squished, because of what it would have meant to Wall-E. There were just so many touching moments in it, and I cared about Wall-E right from the start.
Mandi, did you cry?
Thanks Megan. No wonder I couldn’t place the song — the only time I saw Hello Dolly was the stage version, with Carol Channing, who was..ahem…getting on in years, shall we say? She was a bit …umm… wobbly on her high heels and perhaps a bit too old for the part, and I was so worried that she was going to fall into the orchestra pit that I wasn’t really paying attention to the music!
It was a perfect movie for Wall-E. I loved when Eve finally realized it, too, when she was watching her security video.
Leave it to Pixar to make us care about robots, cockroaches, and rats…
Sorry; “-become emotionally attached to-”; sorry if I offended any rats
I totally cried and I have no shame
Before I began dating my now-fiance, we were e-mailing and he asked me something “weird” about myself. Of course, I originally told him that “other than my 3rd eye, I couldn’t think of anything”. He then said I took it too literally and I came up with, “I cry every time I watch ‘Finding Nemo’ and ‘Monsters, Inc.’”. Of course he came back with that he loved those movies and most Pixar. We watched Ratatouille on our first date and were sure to see Wall-E (and yes, I cried…loved the dance sequence) and I guess the rest is history… It must be love.
Saw Wall-E, Wanted and the Panda this weekend and liked them all.. I got misty at Wall-E loved the Hello Dolly- how young was Michael Crawford in those clips! I believe that I was the ONLY female at the showing of Wanted I attended.. how funny
I’ve cried at every Pixar movie. Darn them and their brilliance.
My wife cried and i actualy got a lump as well
The acadmey better nominate this movie for best movie OSCAR not BEST ANIMATED the punks
WALLE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Rocksss
I didn’t shed actual tears but spent the entire movie with a huge lump in my throat. Wall-E has to be my new favorite movie!
I cried at the end, and continued crying through the credits, and continued crying walking out of the theater. I was in too much of a wreck to drive! I was so embarassed.
