Tim Russert’s shockingly early death at age 58 is one of those passings that makes you stop and take stock of the man, the work Read the full post.

What kind of a person makes the kind of remark that I quote below? Time grew up in a hardscrabble world where nothing was ever granted to you on a plate. His dad was a sanitation worker (garbage man for the majority of us) who grew up during the Great Depression and went on to fight the worlds worst war. As a guy in his late 30′s who grew up with his own “Big Russ” (Depression kid and WWII ((Omaha Beach vet))…I’d love to kick your ass. I’m a proud Catholic too who is generously reproducing. Tim was RICH in practicality…something he (and I think I) were mandatorilly imbued with. If you haven’t experienced it…your a lesser person for it!!
“Tim was a good man…….NOT A “GOD” folks die everyday….today was the Tim the devout Catholicks day to die….religion did him a lot of good….I love it when rich people DIE

sometimes you dont know what you think about someone until they are gone. Mr. Russert was a refreshing true journalist in an era of tabloid crap.

don! don! don!!! I won’t bother to capitalize your name, you are not worth the respect* How can you say you love it when rich people die ???? To talk ill of the dead is soooo wrong. Lord, forgive this idiot and help him to grow a soul !!!! I hope you have enough sense to repent, for you are surely going to meet the flames of HEL!!! Rest in peace Mr. Tim Russert.

don, go to high school and get your education, you can’t even spell Catholic. What a looser!!!

This is such a sad shock for journalism in America. I really loved Tim Russert’s straightforward and fair interviews with politicians. He had an exuberance about him that was so infectious – you could tell he really LOVED his work.
He was great at educating us citizens about politics in ways we could relate to without talking down to us.
I for one, will sorely miss his pleasant smile every Sunday morning! Hard to imagine the rest of this historic election campaign without Tim! My prayers go out to his father, wife and son at this difficult time.

First of all, it’s loser, not looser. Secondly, Tim Russert was a really brilliant man who did a lot of good in his lifetime and is highly respected in his field and throughout politics in general. Could you children please stop your sophomoric bickering?

  • Rawls Tiffany

Idiot! “Looser” is spelled Loser! Who can’t spell? Moron…..

  • Kathleen A Murrer

Boy, don, you really got noticed with that stupid remark about religion not doing Tim Russert any good. We all have to die, but whether religion does one any good has nothing to do with when we die and everything to do with what happens after we die.

My heart aches. He was in my home every Sunday morning. He was truly a good guy. He made me love and, most importantly, understand politics. Bless his family, co-workers and colleagues in their time of sorrow.

Very sad , I liked the man , seemed like he had a good soul , very likeable , was a shock when I heard the news . He will be missed .

tim russert died of a heart condition that is almost always fatal. even if he had been in the presence of a doctor, his tragic death would probably have still happened. it’s simply not fair that tim is no longer with us. i obviously didn’t know him, i was merely a viewer, but i cannot overstate what a good and kind-hearted man he seemed to be. i’m so sad.

WHAT?!?! OMG I’m quite sad, I didn’t find out until just now…:(

I was talking to a fourteen year old about him dying she related to him as the man with the big SMILE he was good she like him she though he was interesting. For a teenager to recognized is amazing. He will be well miss. for the family just remember the good time you had together, when you loose someone that all you can do.
