Blogs are buzzing today that love-to-hate-’em blondies Heidi Montag and Britney Spears have collaborated on a new track called "Dramatic." (Seriously, could that be any more of a perfect title or what?).
But before you flip — like most of us EW folk did when we heard the news — it has been rumored that Brit Brit didn’t give her OK on the song’s release, and that she hadn’t even known about it until the song leaked. (Apparently Heidi’s vocals were dubbed onto an old Britney track.)
So I ask you, P-Dubs, now that you know the (supposed) truth behind the rumor, please tell us:

A desperate cry for attention is more like it. Having read an “interview” with Montag, at least we can’t accuse her of taking advantage of someone less intelligent. Dumb as mud that one.
It is better than Montag’s other song, but that is not saying much. Please oh please don’t let this start playing on the radio!

Heidi Montag has to be my least favorite “celebrity”.

I can’t believe that a D-list, cable reality TV “star” would dare to dub herself into a song by an artist who’s sold 75 million records worldwide (and has built an extremely devoted fanbase who will buy her albums even when her image is a little tarnished.) Excuse me while I go photoshop myself into da Vinci’s “The Last Supper.” (Yes, I just compared Britney to Jesus.)
All I had to read was “Heidi Montag” and a little voice inside me screamed “NOOOOOOOoooooooo”!
Against my better judgment, I’m a huge Britney supporter. When I heard this news, it cut me deep. When I listened to the song, I was just about ready to cry. Britney should release a strongly worded statement telling us that she had NO knowledge of the stolen song and that she does not know who Heidi Montag is.
Britney has never benefited from guest stars or collaborations or remixes. She’s the rare breed of entertainer whose records and live shows you either love or hate, but everything rides on her and her alone.
I’d answer this question but I’m so mesmerized by the Brit Brit’s hair–girl, Amtrak has less obvious tracks than your ‘do, or in this case, your don’t.
Heidi needs to go away. Far far away.
Someone needs to make Heidi go away until she can at least sing on key. And Britney needs to take some sort of legal action on this. It’s a case she could actually win!
The worst part is, I can hardly tell which is which, since they’re both growly whisper singing. And I know it’s so people don’t steal it or whatever, but the constant “Kiss FM” in the song is almost more obnoxious!

A stripper and a nobody…why is EW even talking about this? its not news, its not interesting, its not entertaining…how about a 5 years moratoriam on the has-been pop star, and if she gets her career back, we’ll see if we feel like talking about her then…thanks for your consideration…

Listen, if Britney barely seemed to care that her children were taken from her, I don’t see why she would care about someone taking her song.
To answer the blogger’s question, this “duet” shouldn’t be played on the radio. I barely know who this Heidi person is, and if she needs to put herself into Britney’s music to get attention, she clearly doesn’t deserve any success.
As for Britney, she has no discernible talent and doesn’t deserve any of her success either. She should get out of the muzic biz and go to cosmetology school. If nothing else, she’d at least learn to groom herself better.
Yes, I’m kicking Britney while she’s down. It’s just that PopWatch had been so pleasant without all the constant Britney news, and I’m not happy to see her face here again.
