Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park in Florida will unveil an American Idol attraction later this year. How it’ll actually work is yet to be determined, but it will likely involve multiple stage shows a day. Aspiring singers will audition before a live audience, including three judges who could be picked from the crowd. A daily winner could earn a priority spot in line when the Fox crew hits the audition road for the real Idol.
What would it take to get you there? The only way I’d sit through it is if you let me be one of the judges. Actually, I’d be too shy for that. You’d have to have Slezak be one of the judges, and allow me to sit right beside him.
I would LOVE to be a judge! I could do it. I could be brutally honest.
I’d be a lot more critical than Simon.
Maybe some of the more delusional contestants will get their fix their instead of at the actual auditions.

Well.I know I won’t be watching…I can’t stand American Idol..it may not be the MOST annoying TV show..but it has to be close to it.
I love IDOL. I’d go see it in Disney for sure.

They need to let younger aspiring stars, to audition. Many want to audition and are great, but can’t because of age limits. I mean don’t let a 6 year old get the mic. and scream. But like younger teen idols, maybe starting at 12 or so.

A priority space in line is a good draw. But when I immediately saw thea headline I thought to myself that if they taped all the performances and had a screening system, they could gaurantee, say, 3 spots at Hollywood week to people “auditioning” at the attraction.
