It’s the pairing I never thought to ask for, but, judging by my squeal reaction to the news, have always wanted. I’ve always wanted to see Christian Bale and Cate Blanchett square off–I consider them equivalent deities when it comes to acting. But, God! Johnny Depp and Christian Bale!! I have been grinning like an idiot all day without remembering why, and you just reminded me–all my movie dreams have come true.

I’d love to see Rachel Weisz or Kate Beckinsale against these two, as for Depp and Bale, I feel all my prayers have finally been answered in a motion picture. That should be a new Oscar category if I do say so myself.
There is a scene in Elf where Amy Sedaris and Andy Richter are sitting at a table near each other and I thought to myself, “They aren’t even utilizing the funniest people in the shot right now.” Those 2 together in anything would be hilarious.
