1. Kelly Clarkson – “My December”
2. “Heartsick” by Chelsea Cain
Must List Pick #1 – “Life”
I have to admit that I love this show. And not for the “who-framed-me-and-left-me-in-prison-for-12-years” reason. I actually watch for the magnetic chemistry between and male and female partnership that isn’t overloaded with sexual tension. I’m telling all of my friends to watch and they are starting to get hooked too.
Must List Pick #2 – Jill Scott in “Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married”
I know this movie won’t be garnering any Oscar attention but no one can deny that Jill Scott dove into her role and never looked back. She may have been the “biggest” star in this movie, but she sure overshadowed them all with her acting abilities.
Ummm, up until ten minutes ago nothing was a must, until i was deleriously surprised (and eternally grateful, EW) for the VM:FBI ten minute pilot… umm, how about doing some apologetic work for not covering VM when it was the best writing on TV by making this you tube clip(s) a MUST on your MUST LIST!!!!
I’d have to agree with Tim, “Life” is a definate must-list addition. Damian Lewis is a bright actor and should have a great career with this TV show. My next must-list hopeful is the Jimmy Eat World cd, Chase This Light. Definately one of the best cds I’ve heard in awhile.
Supernatural. This show has both creepy/scary and laugh-out-loud funny moments, but the cute guys and classic rock soundtrack make this my favorite Thursday night show.
1. The Red Sox Sweep! (with Mike Lowell’s eyebrows)
2. The Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack on the ipod for trick or treating tonight with the kidlings – nothing like a four year old singing “This is Halloween!”
3. “Gimme More” – am I the only one so fascinated by this song? I have to stop whatever I’m doing when I hear it so I can concentrate on the ‘mooore’ part
1) Chi McBride on Pushing Daisies
2) The Nightmare Before Christmas in Disney 3-D
3) The new Iron and Wine CD, The Shepherd’s Dog.

1. Carrie Underwood’s new CD “Carnival Ride”
2. “Gone Baby Gone”
thecheappop.com… very funny site with cool interviews
“Avatar: The Last Airbender” on Nickelodeaon – it’s the best kind of kids’ show, with humor, actual plotlines, characters that you get to care about, and best of all, I have no idea how it’s going to end (the last season is airing now, since it was conceived as a 3 season show).
(cont.) and I forgot about the fantastic animation.
the return of Nip/Tuck
Twin Peaks All New Season 2 Music.
Order up some pie and coffee while enjoying this second helping of music from the brilliant but short-lived television series.
Captain Awesome on “Chuck” – first he teaches Chuck how to tango, and now, last night’s “are you a Tucker” scene? The Captain is indeed Awesome! Cannot believe “Chuck” wasn’t one of the 5 shows we love this fall!
Once again, I must nominate the Filmspotting podcast (filmspotting.net) and singer/songwriter Jonathan Coulton (jonathancoulton.com)
My life would be incomplete if I didn’t have all 10 seasons of ‘Friends’ on DVD, a Season Pass of “The Closer” on the TiVo, and a copy of “The Time Traveler’s Wife” by Audrey Niffenegger on my bookshelf.
LIFE- Damien Lewis is terrific and each week the show gets better and better.
TORCHWOOD- the best sci fi show in years!
(music) Kim Richey – ‘Chinese Boxes’, her return marks one of the best albums of the year. even if you don’t like country music, you’ll find it hard to resist this.
(television) It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia – These people are border-line psychotic, but pure genius.
(film) Dan In Real Life – If you liked ‘Family Stone’ (and even if you didn’t), you’ll love this heartfelt film from the director of ‘pieces of april’. laugh out loud hilarious.
1) HALLOWEEN EPISODES: Nothing beats seeing your favorite TV actors in daffy but ironically appropriate costumes all week
2) BLAKE LEWIS: The first MP3-ready star AI has had – catchy!
3) CAPTAIN AWESOME on “Chuck”: Seldom has a minor minor character so swiftly dominated a series – and the loins of the people watching it!
1. GOSSIP GIRL!!! This series is seriously not getting the attention it deserves.
2. The first season of 30 Rock on DVD. It’s hilarious!
3. Vanessa Carlton’s “Nolita Fairytale.” Let’s pay attention to the twentysomething women who are actually making good music, not just to the pop tarts.
JB Smoove on “Curb Your Enthusiasm”. Just as I thought the series couldn’t get more awkward, Larry goes and adopts a family of African American hurricane victims. JB’s character (Leon) became a series Must stay after the episode in which he and Larry switch cel phones. For the rest of my life, I’ll be snickering every time the name “Barack Obama” thanks to JB. A Big bowl of wrong indeed.
I want to echo the captain awesome love. And I love Ray Wise as the Devil more and more each week!
Carnival Ride- Carrie Underwood
Christian’s booty on Nip/Tuck.
The Blacks on Curb Your Enthusiasm
And You are what you eat on BBC America
show: dirty sexy money (so underrated!)
album: blake lewis’s a.d.d. (it’s going to be amazing; i’ve heard a handful of tracks and just, damn!)
annnd let’s say guitar hero. i played for the first time last night and i love it!)
Jason and Liz on General Hospital
Elizabeth Hasselback’s maternity leave on the View
American Gladitors on ESPN Classic
TV show- How I Met Your Mother
Movie- Gone Baby Gone
Video Game- Folklore
“Veronica Mars” Season 4 trailer online. It’s nice to see something new from the VMars camp, even if it is bittersweet, knowing we’ll never get more. Why, Dawn Ostroff, why??
