I love Cheryl Burke, but if Wayne Newton (pictured, with her) is still around after this week, it’ll be a Danke Shame. I don’t want to put more pressure on my pick to take the trophy, Helio Castroneves, but this morning, my mood brightened when I remembered that I’d be watching him dance tonight — and also, that I’d be receiving another phone call from my mother afterwards inquiring about his marital status. (Not for me, for her. And note: my parents are still together.)

Wayne is ridiculous and needs to go….my favs are Jennie (she’s adorably nervous) and MEL B (mainly because of Maks).
Although I must admit I’ve paid to see Wayne in concert, (it was Vegas…I was drunk…what do you expect) I can’t wait to see him go. Let the contestants with some real talent (i.e Helio, Sabrina)fight it out!
Wayne is numero uno to go, in my book. I’m not big on Jennie, either. It always looks like she’s about to cry and I never see that her smile reaches her eyes. It’s like she’s dreadfully unhappy to still be there but is putting on a brave face.
I hope if Mark does well that he will get votes. I have always thought of him as an obnoxious guy, but he’s trying so hard–without any entertainment or performing background to build off of–I hope he isnt voted off because no one really knows who he is–like Albert!
I know they want to favor the older folks, but Wayne’s not as good as previous old dudes – and lets face it, it’s a dancing competition, though I know popularity is important (alas, we lost poor Albert).
Anyone else get the feeling that Cheryl is not to happy to be paired with Wayne? It looks like she is pretending to be into it, and after tonight I definately think she can’t wait for this partnership to end.
Although he is clearly not the “best” dancer, I am voting for Mark. He is adorably goofy, having a great time and trying very hard. He reminds me of all those guys out there (my husband) who have never danced, but if they would just try, they might find out they’re having fun AND making their woman happy.
The old geezer, Wayne, should go PRONTO! He sucked. The judges were just too easy on him. I was miffed that they didn’t just chew him out.

Wow! Amazing performances tonight. Everyone was so fired up and so focused right from the beginning. I hate to anyone eliminated tomorrow. Tremendous props go out to Jane for her dedication to her mom, to Jennie for her big comeback, and to the rest who nailed their performances. I don’t know how they are going to send someone home tomorrow.

mark NEEDS to stop sticking his tounge out and singing along with the songs. it is extremely distracting. Actually it’s a bit gross as well.
Please, please let Wayne go home! It’s completely unfair to Cheryl, a two-time champion, but she’ll make a comeback next season. Jane was brave and elegant, and I hope Helio wasn’t too seriously hurt. He seemed a little off tonight even before his spill, and I wonder if the “weak foot” had something to do with it.
Wayne must go.He may have a huge fan base but let’s vote truthfully. What’s up with the music assigned to Ryan, oops, I mean Cameron, for the tango tonight? It was just wrong! They still did well though. Good job!
Wayne should stay in Las Vegas where he can sing on the stage and refrain from making any attempt to move his feet in some form of dance manner.
This is what I hate abot this show…who has the biggest fan base? No chance Wayne will win but if he finishes anywhere near the top…no more ‘Dancing’ for me. It shouldn’t be a popularity contest when there’s soooo much actual talent this year…

Sob story gets high scores. Tripping the week before gets high scores. How come Helio’s bloody knee got no sympathy. Jenny was not very good. Her posture was awful. And who is she angry at. Jane looked like a manequin. Looked more like a waltz than a tango.

OMG, that tango Wayne & Cheryl did was so ridiculous I was embarrassed for them – watching it was like watching a car wreck – you just can’t take your eyes off it even though you know you shouldn’t be looking. My eyes! My eyes!
ok, im thinking i must be on some alternate universe or something….mel’s dance last night looked like she was half asleep and no where near as good as cheeta’s who i might add looks like shes dropped a few pounds.
…..and the best part of wayne’s dance was the ponytail…..better luck next year cheryl!
I was shocked Jenny was so good last night! Mark Cuban needs to get that tongue where it belongs..you look like a doofus! Jane was good but the scores were too generous…what was with all the 9’s? It diluted what scoring high really means! Wayne is PAINFUL to watch!

Wayne’s plastic face with that mustache was the scariest thing I’ve seen in a long time. I was going to split my votes between Cameron and Mark, but the lousy music Cameron and Edyta got ended up getting all my sympathy votes. If Mark lasts another week, he’ll get half of my votes. I actually liked Jane’s and Sabrina’s dances the best, but they got the judges so don’t need my votes yet, I hope.
C’mon Annie, where are u? I can’t wait to see your comments — and Smoochie’s too…
aye – Helio leaves blood on the floor – ouch! and there seemd to be not much sympathy.(But it wasn’t his best dance.) Sabrina clearly is best at dancing. Fun to watch. As is Marie who does a fine job every week even this semi-silly tango which was just right for them. Much better than the metallic clanging of Garth and Seymour.
I thought Jennie was terrific! She had the hardest choreography of all the tangos, and she pulled it off. I thoguht the scores were deserved (in her case; in some of the others, not so much).
I didn’t like it last year when Laila used her dad’s Parkinson’s for sympathy votes, and while Jane’s mom’s death is of course sad, it seems cheap to use it for vote-getting purposes. Her family probably needed her home more than in the dance studio with Tony.
