I love Cheryl Burke, but if Wayne Newton (pictured, with her) is still around after this week, it’ll be a Danke Shame. I don’t want to put more pressure on my pick to take the trophy, Helio Castroneves, but this morning, my mood brightened when I remembered that I’d be watching him dance tonight — and also, that I’d be receiving another phone call from my mother afterwards inquiring about his marital status. (Not for me, for her. And note: my parents are still together.)

Wayne is ridiculous and needs to go….my favs are Jennie (she’s adorably nervous) and MEL B (mainly because of Maks).
Although I must admit I’ve paid to see Wayne in concert, (it was Vegas…I was drunk…what do you expect) I can’t wait to see him go. Let the contestants with some real talent (i.e Helio, Sabrina)fight it out!
Wayne is numero uno to go, in my book. I’m not big on Jennie, either. It always looks like she’s about to cry and I never see that her smile reaches her eyes. It’s like she’s dreadfully unhappy to still be there but is putting on a brave face.
I hope if Mark does well that he will get votes. I have always thought of him as an obnoxious guy, but he’s trying so hard–without any entertainment or performing background to build off of–I hope he isnt voted off because no one really knows who he is–like Albert!
I know they want to favor the older folks, but Wayne’s not as good as previous old dudes – and lets face it, it’s a dancing competition, though I know popularity is important (alas, we lost poor Albert).
Anyone else get the feeling that Cheryl is not to happy to be paired with Wayne? It looks like she is pretending to be into it, and after tonight I definately think she can’t wait for this partnership to end.
Although he is clearly not the “best” dancer, I am voting for Mark. He is adorably goofy, having a great time and trying very hard. He reminds me of all those guys out there (my husband) who have never danced, but if they would just try, they might find out they’re having fun AND making their woman happy.
The old geezer, Wayne, should go PRONTO! He sucked. The judges were just too easy on him. I was miffed that they didn’t just chew him out.

Wow! Amazing performances tonight. Everyone was so fired up and so focused right from the beginning. I hate to anyone eliminated tomorrow. Tremendous props go out to Jane for her dedication to her mom, to Jennie for her big comeback, and to the rest who nailed their performances. I don’t know how they are going to send someone home tomorrow.

mark NEEDS to stop sticking his tounge out and singing along with the songs. it is extremely distracting. Actually it’s a bit gross as well.
Please, please let Wayne go home! It’s completely unfair to Cheryl, a two-time champion, but she’ll make a comeback next season. Jane was brave and elegant, and I hope Helio wasn’t too seriously hurt. He seemed a little off tonight even before his spill, and I wonder if the “weak foot” had something to do with it.
Wayne must go.He may have a huge fan base but let’s vote truthfully. What’s up with the music assigned to Ryan, oops, I mean Cameron, for the tango tonight? It was just wrong! They still did well though. Good job!
