'Halo 3' to storm stores tomorrow

"Halo 3" goes on sale tomorrow. (And at midnight tonight in some locations.) If you play videogames, this is a big deal: the one-day take for this third and final installment in the mega-selling franchise may top $150 million. That’s Spider-Man and Harry Potter kind of money. So who out there is planning on buying a copy? What other upcoming titles are you looking forward to? Oh, and don’t forget to check out our review of the game, which will be up on EW.com first thing tomorrow.

I’m gonna go but not at midnight because I don’t wanna wake them when I leave their basement.

Eh…even if I had a 360 I probably wouldn’t get it. FPSs tend to make me dizzy and don’t usually hold my attention very well. I am however looking forward to getting the new Nippon Ichi game, Soul Nomad and the World Eaters, that comes out this week and Phantom Hourglass next week. I also need to pick up the new Growlanser.

Yes, I can agree that the Halo franchise is somewhat overrated and the second game’s single player disappointed me greatly. Eve at that, I’m driving out tomorrow morning and picking it up before all the hyperactive junior high students get their hands on the game. Midnight’s a little excessive for me, but then again, I and some friends drove around retail stores during the PS3 launch too see who camped out that night.

I have never nor do i plan to play any Halo game, but I must admit it’s classy to use a beautiful Chopin Prelude as the song in your commercial. It didn’t make me want to play, but it DID make me watch.

Wow, not much Halo love from the PopWatchers, eh, Wook? Count me in: I’ve preordered a copy, though it’s only fair to note that I did it just today, along with getting my 360 Elite (and a copy of BioShock). I DO think the series is a bit overrated thus far, but that doesn’t mean it ain’t a ton of fun, too.
