Is this perfume ad, for Diddy’s "Unforgivable Woman" fragrance, really too steamy for cable? Methinks someone is protesting too much. If MTV, after airing countless spring-break and Real World gropefests, objects to the clip below, it’s probably due to the ad’s extreme length, not its sensuality. If MTV did squelch the ad, they did Diddy a favor, since without the controversy, there’s nothing here that would be too hot for even a network TV drama like, say, Men in Trees. Not sure what’s so "unforgivable" here, except maybe the spot’s underlying message: that if you wear this fragrance to a bar and Diddy is there (and if you look like model Jessica Gomez), he’ll take you to a hotel room for a night of nuzzling and some implied casual sex, after which he’ll quickly dress and be on his way. That’s the un-sexiest “ad” ever. The scene in the stairwell had me in hysterics. And the fact that they keep looking at the camera is entirely unsettling. Also – Diddy = not attractive.
I’m not sure who’s idea this “commercial” is, but it’s got such low production value, I wouldn’t be surprised if he had some lowly intern follow him around with a camera. Bad lighting, editing, acting– Why does she keep looking into the camera? And the music. He’s a “musician” and that’s the music they came up with? To me, it looks like a commercial for Japanese whiskey. It’s too awful and boring to even be funny.

This is the stupidest ad ever. Artistically, it’s crap. The perfume should be called ‘Have Sex With Diddy’.

The way he looks into the camera when he’s kissing her stomach gives me the creeps. He is the opposite of sexy and alluring to me.
It also looks like he’s trying to rape her in the stairwell.
Obviously they tried to make the commercial too ~scandalous~ for tv to generate a buzz and it’s kind of working.

I agree with the other post where he kept looking at the camera…I guess he was trying to do what other fragrance commercials did…where the actress looked at the camera…but they had the right eyes for it and he didnt…or hte right face….*GAG

This commercial is so stupid and ridiculous. I can’t believe this is supposed to be an ad for a women’s fragrance! As a woman, I would never buy this perfume. It’s so NOT sexy!

This was creepy. I kept waiting for commercial to cut to the detective teams from a CSI or Law and Order show to show up and investigate the young models demise. Not a good ad.
How about ‘Slut in a bottle’. Or
‘Let’s Share an STD’.
