Must Book: “Richter’s Scale” by S.E. Hough. After all, it’s the dude that gets all the credit for the Richter Scale. And he made the moniker of “Mad Scientist” that was so prevalent among guys of his era look tame.
I love the following websites, which feature Internet TV shows with weekly episodes. You can also get them on iTunes and view them on your iPhone, Apple TV, etc.:

Must DVD – Kath & Kim Series 1-3 (Australia). The dysfunctional story of a mum and daughter (or is that a story of a dysfunctional mum and daughter?) as they live in Australian suburbia. It’s noice, different, unewwwsual!
Books: anything by Thomas Pynchon – especially The Crying of Lot 49. Genius! I’ve reread that one every year for the last 15 (god, I’m old!?!). Bad Lands by Tony Wheeler – a travel guide to all the countries that make up the “Axis of Evil”. Also genius. Well written and very insightful about what these countries are like.
Music: Year Zero by NIN, and Takk by Sigur Ros.
Websites: http://www.imnotobsessed.com, http://www.icydk.com and wwww.justjared.com for all your celebrity gossip needs!
1. Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon for the Nintendo DS – farming sim + dating sim + dungeon crawler = brilliant fun
2. Guild Wars Eye of the North – Just played the sneak preview event and I can’t wait to pick this up
3. Rowan Atkinson – While I prefer Blackadder, I also love Mr. Bean. Can’t wait to go see the latest movie.
TV Show-Burn Notice
My new summer addiction. Clever, funny, and exciting. Jeffrey Donovan is super charming, his chemistry with Gabrielle Anwar is smoking, and how can you miss with Bruce Campbell involved?
1.) Big Brother 8….who the hell is filling Amber’s head with nonsense such as She should be a model and that she has a cute body??? God I love this show.
2.) Kelly Clarkson – My December….not your average pop which you have to admit is a very good thing. I’m still obsessively listening to it after two months.
3.) Weeds…I heart this show. It is awesome in every way and I’m in love with Nancy. MILF smoke!
Music: Rilo Kiley – Under the Blacklight. Jenny Lewis has never sounded better with an odd combination of soulful alt-country indie rock.
1. Flight of the Conchords – The Distant Future EP
2. Friday Night Lights – Season 1 DVDs
3. Television Without Pity’s “Motivational” Poster thread (inspired by Despair, Inc.)- http://forums.televisionwithoutpity.com/index.php?showtopic=3142036&st=0
“Psych.” Still hilarious.
Heroes: Season 1 on DVD.
I made a special field trip to Best Buy to pick it up on my way to an appointment today as soon as it came out. Can’t wait to check out the special features. Just don’t tell my boss.
The new season of Frisky Dingo. Love the new characters already, especially the guy who makes up polling results and faxes them to election headquarters.
1. Big Brother 8 – I’m sad that Jen got the shaft, but now I have Amber and her ambitions to be a model (ha!) to keep me entertained.
2. Friday Night Lights/Heroes Season 1 DVDs – I’m still at work and haven’t bought them yet, but I’m sure I will love them nonetheless.
3. Burn Notice – hilarious, witty, and a great GREAT cast.
Bioshock: Get enraptured in Rapture, a failed underwater Utopia steeped in art deco stylings and 50s nostalgia, in this thinking person’s shooter for Xbox 360.
David Johansen’s Mansion of Fun Radio Show on Sirius Radio.
