Just so you don’t think EW.com’s coverage has turned all-scandal-all-the-time, here’s a nice video, from our corporate siblings over at This Old House magazine, of Brad Pitt (pictured, left) helping to build affordable, environmentally friendly homes in New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward for those still displaced by Katrina. Whether you choose to watch the clip for its social-uplift value or its Brad-Pitt-in-a-T-shirt value makes no difference to us.

Brad Pitt helps rebuild New Orleans

Brad Pitt does something worth the punctuation at the end of this sentence!
Brad Pitt speaks and I roll my eyes. Him and Richard Gere have that in common
Britney needs to get on the Brad train, she needs structure and purpose in her life and since she lives in LA what better way to get it than to join the rebuilding. Bravo Brad!
Good on you, Brad.
Eh.
I am not impressed with either Brad Pitt’s looks or his acting… but I will admit that he frequently uses his celebrity for good, and for that alone he has my respect.
I have to give Brad props for continuing to draw attention to the problems in New Orleans (and the entire gulf coast, for that matter).
We were in New Orleans this weekend, and while things are much improved over the last time we were there, the city is still healing. If you’re looking for a place to go on vacation, consider New Orleans. If you think it’s all about drunk college kids on Bourbon Street, that’s only a very small part of it. It’s a family friendly city with lots to do, see, and hear (and eat!).
It’s a really special city full of friendly people, great food and great music, and they need the tourism dollars.
I agree, Brad Pitt/Angelina are doing a great job to bring awareness and money to New Orleans, as well as other issues. I actually didn’t realize everything that they’re doing until I read this article:

Check it out, and let’s all try to help out, too!
