Stephanie is definately not the writer Anne Rice is. Anne can make a whole character and era come alive with her detailed and vivid descriptions and clever use of words. Rice’s books are full of rich interesting characters. The love story of twilight can be found within an Anne Rice novel. There is nothing partcularly new about what Stephanie has done. However what a wonderful story to tell, especially one that is so close to our loins. Forbidden love.. THat extreme sexual tension between 2 teenagers.
The movie cut to the chase as far as I was concerned. I was utterly intoxicated with it. The casting the imagery, the music the editing, the 2 main characters. I am almost 40 and it made me feel that teenager sexuality again. Pattison was so piercingly intoxicating and I thought the tension created in the movie between them took me to much greater heights than the book.. However it will not stop me reading the series. Who can pass up a forbidden love story like this..
Anne Rice is the best.
