It’s wrong of me to start your day with another soul-crushing kernel about the promotional push for the upcoming Saw III, but isn’t PopWatch all about sharing the burden together? To wit, this snippet from a story in Variety:
A vial of blood from Saw star Tobin Bell — who plays the villain Jigsaw — was mixed with red ink and printed on a poster for the next installment in the horror franchise.
Nice, right? Maybe next time, they can tear out a few of Bell’s teeth and glue them to a special-edition of that hideous one-sheet for the movie I spotted in a Chicago theater lobby last month.

Nothing new under the sun. When the rock band Kiss had their own comic book in the 70s, some of their blood was added to the ink in the first print run. And when comics writer Mark Gruenwald died of cancer in the early 90s, as per his will, his ashes were mixed into the ink for a Marvel comic.
Michael, not even that would excite me to go see this movie. The last movie I saw in an actual theater was The Devil wears Prada. I have no interest in anything coming out anytime soon except for Dreamgirls.
I’m sorry. The possibility of purchasing bodily fluids and cremains along with whatever text makes me want to vomit.
Chad: LOL! But only cause I’m a big homo. You straighties aren’t allowed to laugh at that one. =)
