"Look! Up in the sky! It’s my name making the HeadScratcher winners for the first time!" announced clever PopWatcher Timothy Greening. He was one of just 36 of you that knew that Bush, the Commodores, Eminem, and R.E.M. have all recorded songs called "Superman"; that the Kinks have a song called "(Wish I Could Fly Like) Superman," and that the Spin Doctors had a hit with "Jimmy Olsen’s Blues," a little ditty about a mild-mannered reporter whose unchecked envy boils over when his best friend gets the girl, his best friend being Superman.
Okay, okay, so we’re a little excited about Superman Returns (opens Wednesday) around PopWatch HQ. But can you blame us? Have you seen all the great reviews?
(After the jump, this week’s Men and Women of Steel — and my favorite incorrect answer…)
"I have no idea," said PopWatcher Vicki Ebberts. "But I do know that this is second time you’ve had the Commodores and the Spin Doctors in a HeadScratcher together though."
What? It is? Is that possible? (Um, yep. It wasn’t intentional, but there you have it.)
Onward and upward, my children of Krypton…

NOW, THAT WAS A HEADSCRATCHER!
What about Five for Fighting’s “It’s Not Easy (Superman)”? Another great Superman song. This one about why he’s ticked off being an army of one!
What about the Crash Test Dummies? Superman’s Song has to be one of the best songs about poor ol’Supe.
I feel totally ripped off. I sent in the correct answer, too, and within minutes of the original “headscratcher” being posted, and I’m not on that list of people who got it right. Damn!
Good one, though…
There are tons of Superman songs. Check out this list:

Hey DBD: Give me your human name and you can be.
Aha! I have no human name! I’m actually a computer program that is hooked up with AV cables to a series of robots!
Actually, I had a feeling that’s why I didn’t appear on there…
