I am probably more likely to buy a Kat McPhee album, but based on the performances Tuesday night, the right person won American Idol.
Taylor is such a freak! I hope he does well, I’ll probably buy his album, but I’d LOVE to see him on stage with those spastic “dance” moves.
I think it’s the first time somebody I was cheering for actually won! I would have been happy with Taylor, Elliott or Chris. I’m not likely to listen to Kat.

Maybe when you’re actually inside the Kodak it’s different, but last night was incredibly anticlimatic. The only time I pulled a Hasselhoff (ooh, that doesn’t sound right) was when they’d show clips of Elliott to huge cheers Tuesday night. I’m hoping he outdoes them both.
I like Katharine, and she’ll go far in her career. But in the last few weeks of the competition, she didn’t have her A game on to its fullest. To use a baseball analogy, she was hitting doubles or triples when she should’ve been hitting home runs, which she was very capable of.
I’m a Kat fan, but the right person won. Kat’s got a bright future ahead of her though.
After watching last night, clearly Chris and Elliot and even Paris can sing way better than Taylor or Kat.
now that it’s over the REAL competiton begins. SELLING RECORDS!!! it doesn’t matter who wins, these kids will sell if they got it, and some of them do. the only set-back is they have to wait quite a while to do so. according to reports and interviews, chris, elliott, and paris have all started recording music for CD’s. obviously kat and taylor are, but for the rest we shall see. sadly, kevin and melissa hopefully enjoyed their moments on stage, we’ll never see them again, (although melissa WUZ robbed). kellie – TV, ace – ? bucky, mandisa, lisa – again ?. remember, the judges said justin guarini would go far – ha yeah right
The finals should have been Chris and Elliot. I could have been happy with either as the winner. I could see myslef buying either’s CDs. I would never consider a CD from either Kat or Taylor. I think Taylor’s novelty will wear off very quickly. His first CD will probably sell, but I don’t see him with any longevity (a la Ruben). Kat may be terrific in the recording studio, with multiple takes and professionals making decisions for her.
can we just stop all this back and forth about who should have won and talk about the real suprise of the night.
