Everwood fans, it’s time to dig your sackcloth and ashes out of storage: It pains us greatly to report that the critically beloved drama (starring Treat Williams, pictured) will not be making the move to the new CW network in the fall, according to sources close to the show. Apparently The CW has no need for the best-written family drama on television. This injury to quality programming is made all the more heinous by the rumors that the insipid One Tree Hill, starring serial husband Chad Michael Murray, has been renewed. Oh, the vicissitudes of network television! It’s enough to make you read a book. But wait, before you go that far, start the healing process right now by posting your thoughts about Everwood‘s all-too-early demise.

Wow what a way to take shot oth, a show i like as much as ew, and why do you care about chad’s personal life any ways. geez get a life. maybe they should of canceled the lowest rated show on the cw , veronica mars. nobody watches it.
I can only pray that ABC Family will remain undeterred in their decision to rerun the show starting this fall, since we “Everwood” fans will simply HAVE to get our fix somehow.
just glad i have every ew episode downloaded, i didnt start watched till halfway thur season 2, so i still have 1 1/2 more seasons left, so it lives on for me
Oh my gosh I can’t believe that Everwood isn’t getting renewed! It’s awful news! This show is so great and it is just depressing to hear this.
NOOOOO!!!!! I love the show. I can’t believe it got canceled. They keep One Tree Hill & Smallville, but can Everwood? Is the CW the next Fox Broadcasting, canceling good shows? That sucks.
It makes me sad that shows like Everwood get missed by general audiences. It’s such a well-written and well-acted show, and I don’t understand why people don’t watch. It’s like Arrested Development (yep, I’m still grieving). It just seems that networks don’t have a need for smart programming, and just want to shove the reality and crime shows down our throats instead.
I hope that Chris Pratt especially finds some new work ASAP, Bright is my favorite on Everwood and I just love the actor.
CANCEL THE CW
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO…. and they kept 7th Heaven? UGH!!
Well on the bright side, they’re keeping Veronica Mars. I guess I couldn’t have both shows on the same network. Too much of a good thing.
I’m a man and I think Im going to cry. Or yell at someone at The CW… AHHHHHHHHHh WHAT THE @#$@%@#$#@%^!^#@%
Everwood has grown into one of the BEST SHOWS EVER!… EVER!!! and it’ll be a sad lost. Unforgivable lost almost (yah, especially knowing One Tree Hill will probably make it).
Why do so many great shows get cancelled too early? Freaks and Geeks, American Dreams, Arrested Development, and now Everwood. I can’t take this!! At least I still have “The Office” season 3 to look foward to. That almost makes up for it.
And that trainwreck known as _7th Heaven_ has also been renewed. It was bad enough hearing that news but now _OTH_? Way to kick a crestfallen _Everwood_ fan while they’re done. Well done, CW.
Ridiculous. A television tragedy. Everwood is, without a doubt, one of the top shows on any network.
How horribly sad, this is one of the best shows on the air with almost solid ratings every night, bad move CW, what with the cancellation of three prominate shows, Charmed, 7th Heaven and Everwood there is little hope that any viewers will show up.
The most engaging, poignant, and clever show on television is forced to end prematurely. Shame on you, CW. SHAME!
Aghh.. No Everwood just one more year please wouldn’t the CW rather give a critically aclaimedshow a chance in more markets the renew OTH which looks soapier then the soaps (though Ive never seen it) Oh and while I like the first few seasons of 7th Heaven it way past it prime go out with what little dignity you have and put the money to deloping more family friendly programs on and Keep a real family quality family show on. Ps my letter was returned unopened!!
