EW, ya’ll can’t dis too much about overused cliches. It seems every issue features a comparison about how a new movie is a remake of an old one. This time, not only was it lame, but it was really off the mark. EW compared Bynes’ movie with the “Just one of the guys”.
Brother, what? Did any of you fools actually SEE that movie? “Just one of the guys” was a sad sack no laugh, r rated 80′s era exploitation non funny psuedo comedy with lots of naked boobies. Meanwhile, Amanda Bynes movie is a remake of a Shakespearian play AND it doesn’t feature her gettin’ nekkid. so, EW, you guys deserve some ribbing for not doing your homework on this one.
Is EW going to say that LOTR was a remake of Conan the Barbarian because they both feature swords? Or that Groundhog Day and Ghostbusters are the same movie because they both have Bill Murray in them?
I love Debra Messing, but I have to say she can’t compare to Carol Burnett.
the next Lucille Ball? that’s a tough one, mainly cause all the actresses involved in comedy today are decidedly unfunny
hey ya all this is sad lucy didnt come to change the world but too make us all laughf and we love her for it!! if any one would say who is the next lucille ball there is not one there will never be a lucille ball like her sure there is alot of funny people and they are great but everyone is special in there own way some are more funny than others you really cant compare to people with to differnt life styles and back grounds!! lucy is great and I love her to she was a light to me in my darkest times! and I hope not to be lucy or the next luculle ball but to be a sucsessful as she was and always giving the audience what she gave them a time to forget there troubles and laughf

Lucy was and still is the funniest women on film! Her comedic timing was impeccable, and her beauty only added to the comedy. I watched her just yesterday and she STILL makes me laugh out loud. I really do love Lucy.
