I know a lot of fanboys aren’t exactly thrilled Brett Ratner was chosen as director of X-Men: The Last Stand, but I’ve got to say, the film’s new trailer looks pretty good — not just the Golden Gate Bridge tumbling down, but the ominous final image of Phoenix begging Wolverine to kill her. Intense! I can’t be the only one getting excited, can I? And don’t forget, haters, Ratner directed the Prison Break pilot, so he can’t be all bad, can he? Don’t be shy: Weigh in now with your thoughts on the X-Men trailer.

I’m definitely counting down the days til opening day, even before I saw this trailer. I also don’t care who the director, I just want to watch a good movie:)
The trailer was pretty good, and my boyfriend definitely got excited about it, but it wasn’t enough to counter all the negative stuff I’ve seen and heard so far, so we’ll see. Specifically, I’m not happy that they’re killing major characters, if that is indeed the case, and a couple of the characters look cheap or just wrong (Beast, Juggernaut, and Colossus).
I still am bothered that it seems too obvious that Grammer is wearing make-up, but the trailer did help calm some of my fears and made me a bit more excited.
I think the trailer looks really good. The Angel effects are amazing.
It’s going to be a good time. Who cares who the director was. It’s a superhero movie, not something like Schindler’s List.
Get over it, people!
i thought the trailer was spectacular. it has a lot of very interesting things in there. lots of action too. i think this is a great film. i’ll the first in line at the theater to watch it come May 26th.
I think the fanboys need to go easy on Ratner. True, he DID screw up Red Dragon and the Rush Hour movies are just awful, but this is from a young director still honing his craft. Even James Cameron did Piranha 2: The Spawning. This could be Ratners coming of age film.
I might not be there on opening day, but I will definitely be there. The trailer has me psyched, so kudos to whoever did the editing. You’ve drawn me, now Mr. Ratner & crew, please don’t disappoint me.
Wow … just incredible. My faith in this movie has been completely revived after seeing that BRILLIANT trailer. I have been an X-Men fan for over 20yrs and I am not bashing this movie like all the other hardcore fans. I think Ratner will do this movie justice, otherwise there will be a huge backlash from the fans. Everyone at Fox realizes how die-hard all of us are when it comes to the X-Men franchise and they would NOT take a chance on someone they thought was going to ruin it. I agree with everyone who is saying that people should only judge it once they have seen it. And I dont buy for one second that there are some hardcore fans that insist they will not see this movie because of Ratner … you cant resist the appeal of seeing our favorite mutants on the big screen again!
WOW!! Wasn’t sure….no I am! WOW!!
o.m.g! it seemed like pretty standard– albeit nicely done– fare until that end shot of Phoenix begging Wolverine to kill her. and then i wet myself.
as the fanboys say, “make mine Marvel!”
i have loved X-Men for many years and thought the first two were excellent…..this one looks like it could be even better! hello, Angel!!!!! i dont know why some geeks are hating on Ratner..who cares who directs it, i am sure he will do a fine job and judging from the trailer, he did!
It pretty much confirmed my feelings about it, it looks like Ratner was true to form and made a mediocre movie. About ten years ago, mediocre might have been good enough, but after some really talented directors giving us some solid work over the last few years, a glorified tv movie, which is all Ratner has ever made, just doesn’t cut it for me.
I hope all those hyped for it enjoy it, and if this trailer was really enough to excite you, then it will probably suit your tastes just fine.
Awewsome……….Awesome Awesome Awesome. This does not look like this will dissapoint. Angel looks great and so does the Beast, after watching the trailer i was actually counting the days till opening day. And in a year when Superman Returns is coming out as well.
This fangirl is happy, happy, happy. Adding in Beast and Angel is LONG overdue. I’m pissed at Singer for not including them from the beggining as they should have been. My only concern is that this movie will have a storyline such that it will be hard to follow it up with a 4th.
