Get ready for 'Lost: The Musical'?

Categories: Lost, Television

162412__lost_lJimmy Kimmel’s spoof trailer for Lost: the Musical has made its way to the Internet (thanks, TV Tattle), and while it might have played funnier at about half the length (the Hurley-Charlie romance, pictured, is disappointingly laugh-free), I dare you to stay stony-faced when the river-dancing polar bear emerges from the hatch. And there’s something for theater buffs, too, namely a clever bit about the ABC series’ mysterious numbers set to Rent’s "Seasons of Love."

I bet the producers of Lost are ticked off by this, they were probably planning a musical episode somewhere down the line, like in a year, when they have absolutely no ideas left – shark jumping territory.

Eh. It’s okay. To me, Jimmy’s best (and possibly ONLY) funny skits were when he had Sarah Silverman host a Chappelle’s show parody (hearing her talk about all the “hot white bitches” in the audience still makes me laugh), and the time he and Adam Carolla went to Snoop Dogg’s house and got all stoned with Snoop. Actually, the second one was more cool than funny…

It was pretty stupid. None of the actors looked much like the characters on the show, except maybe the Hurley lookalike. I liked the “Bohemian Rhapsody” spoof of LOST better!

Like everything else on Jimmy Kimmel’s show, this was do damn UN-funny! How he’s still on the air is a mystery to me, he should just give up and join Adam Carolla on his dreadful (and un-funny) radio show.
