Jack Bauer: terror suspect? In the upcoming season of 24 (premiering Jan. 15), Kiefer Sutherland’s sleepless Fed goes from being presumed dead to being ”the most wanted man alive.” So says this two-minute promo clip for season 5. (Thanks to Fox to sending us links in a variety of formats: Windows hi-res, Windows lo-res, Real hi-res, and Real lo-res.) I’m not a huge 24-head, but this looks pretty frickin’ awesome to me. The preview does look pretty darn good. Except that there was a spelling mistake…”it’s” when “its” should have been used…why does this annoy me so…

24 is the best ride on TV. The best ride in entertainment PERIOD. It’s 24 free episodes and with TiVo I can watch it without commercials, unlike my local cineplex.
As for the preview..looks like it’s “The Fugitive” but you know 24 will double-reverse it on us 2 or 3 times.
Again..movie studio moguls: check out 24 and find out where you went so so so so wrong.

OK, I know Fox is often careless toward fans, but to be careless toward grammar in this day and age? One of the phrases in this promo read “[the country] faces it’s greatest threat.” Isn’t it supposed to read “its”? Shame on Fox for this silly, avoidable mistake, and for cancelling Arrested Development!
“24″ is incredible. My mouth is hanging open at the end of every single hour, every season. Jack is superman. And Tony is sexy.

Actually, the way the used “it’s” in the preview IS grammatically correct. So funny people get hung up on that instead of just getting jazzed about what a kick butt preview of the season it was!
Cool trailer, really looking forward to watching 24 again because of it.

I have to agree…..This show is way, way, way better than most, if not all, action/adventure movies that I can think of in the most recent past! I, didn’t origianlly watch the show, but since I got my TIVO (Tivo do I get any royalties since I mentioned your name?), I watched season 4, and have since watched Seasons 1-3. By far best show on network TV.

i have watched seasons 1-3 of 24 twice now and i am dieing to find out what season five is like, but from watching this preview, my expectations are very high.
PS: did anyone know that Kiefer Sutherland signed up for seven seasons of 24!!!

For the last time… the spelling of *it’s* in the preview is WRONG. Any writer will tell you. While something belonging to a person will have an apostrophe before the “S”, the ONLY time you use one after word “IT” is when you are trying to say “IT IS”.

Hey all you field operatives out there (you know-Michelle, Martin, Matt, Sheep, Jeff…) this problem with the “it’s vs its” , why don’t we just transmit that over to CTU to Kim’s desktop and have her cross-reference it with all the grammar databases and see if she can find a match?

All this talk lately about death of Jack Bauer – eventually – what’s up with that? Am I the only one who can see that although the real-time format is a major driving force behind the intrigue of the show, the only reason for watching is to see Jack Bauer in action within that time format?? How can there be a 24 without Jack?? “Jack = 24 = Jack”…anyone agrees with me?
