Who knew King Kong and I had so much in common? I was working the same exact facial expression before I had my first Diet Coke this morning.
Seriously, though, we’ve all gone a little ape (sorry!) here at PopWatch HQ, as you can see from the cover of our holiday movie preview, on newsstands today. (And if you’ve seen the trailer for Peter Jackson’s latest flick, you’ll understand our excitement.) With the inside scoop on 31 new movies, you’ll have plenty of reading material for Sunday night, just in case Desperate Housewives totally blows chunks again this week.

Okay, you all have got me totally psyched to get home and pull this issue out of my mailbox. Not so much for King Kong (sorry to disappoint), but for the other 30 movies. And I L-O-V-E the blatant self promotion! You don’t get anywhere without it!!
I have (less than)ZERO interest in the new “King Kong” movie. I am looking forward to the issue though – I generally enjoy the movie preview guides.
The covers for the movie previews are always great, but this one takes it up a notch, still not quite to the level of this year’s fall movie preview cover, I still can’t get over how hot Reese Witherspoon looked, but the monkey looks quite fetching as well.
WOW! I love your new cover, King Kong looks amazing, and I cant wait to see it! I gotta admit that at first I thought it was a bad move for Peter Jackson after the unbeatable LOTR, but after seeing the trailers, it sure looks like he’s done it again!!!
What is Ed Asner doing on the cover of Entertainment Weekly with that woman?!
Nice little farewell to John Fowles.
I really want to see King Kong but why does it have to be three hours? Peter, I love you but that smells like vanity project to me. I hope I’m wrong.
