Note to self: Somebody upstairs is listening to my prayers!
Like many PopWatchers, I’ve been in a state of protracted mourning over the demise of Lisa Kudrow’s brilliant HBO sitcom The Comeback. So you can imagine the elation I felt this morning when I spotted Aunt Sassy’s feathered auburn locks (near left) and pink workout togs during a routine perusal of AOL Music. Admittedly, I didn’t know Valerie Cherish could get down like that, but I’m glad to see television’s most vividly realized character receiving such an enthusiastic embrace from all those hip, krumping kids.
What do you think of Aunt Sassy’s ”Hung Up” clip?

I bet HBO is kicking themselves now for canceling our Val; she must have kept up with her yoga, because that Val grrrl can bend, baby!
I too am still weeping from the cancellation of The Comeback. I just can’t figure out HBO. They have a show that is widely acclaimed by viewers and critics but without hugh numbers they won’t give it another year? Look at Grey’s Anatomy doing much better in their 2nd season because people caught the buzz and tuned in!

I so wanted to LOVE this song, but I just don’t. It’s boring and repetitive. Yeah, I know, it’s Madonna and I shouldn’t be expecting much, but I guess my expectations for her were/are greater than “Hung Up”. Having Aunt Sassy in the video should make me feel better, but it doesn’t – it just makes me miss “The Comeback” even more.

Though I love pretty much whatever Madonna has done, I am so in love with Hung up and the new video.Current pop queens take note, it’s all perfect,edgy,creative,fun.Once again she proves she knows what she’s doing. Now can we stop criticizing our cornerstone artist’s every move. Hello, Mariah?

I miss Val! I read that Extra’s on HBO is only getting 600,000 viewers a week AND they already renewed it for a 2nd season. The Comeback’s lowest ratings were 900,000! I feel ripped off! Especially since Desperate Housewives has been such a disappointment this season.
