-Constantine Maroulis (left) has made history as the first American Idol contestant to use the show as a springboard to a sitcom deal. Didn’t he have a day job in a rock band or something? Who knew he was funny? No less a comedy connoisseur than Kelsey Grammer thinks so, since he’s producing the ABC show. Then again, he also made Down Periscope.
-Owen Wilson is teaming up with Curb Your Enthusiasm producer Larry Charles and record producer Rick Rubin to create Bert & Dickie, a sitcom for HBO about a troubled stand-up comedy duo. Because HBO doesn’t have enough sitcoms about showbiz folk.

I am very happy to know about this sit com starring Constantine Maroulis. Hope it gets to where I live. (Brazil). He was funny as the Greek Waiter at the America Idol Finale. And he has been in several plays before that but they were musicals, not comedies, as far as I know. If he is also funny then it’s another talent he has as he is already an amazing singer performer and…hot, hot, hot. Wow, what a man.

Wow! Congrats Constantine! Please make sure the writers know how to do actual comedy though. There are hardly any genuinely funny sitcoms on anymore so I find myself watching TV Land alot.

I couldn’t be happier, more proud and excited for Constantine. From his first audition on American Idol, there was always something special about Constantine that set him apart from all the rest. I can’t wait to see this multi-talented entertainer on a weekly TV show and there’s no doubt in my mind this show will be a hit. I know I’ll be not only watching, but also taping to watch over and over until the next episode.

Oh no say it isn’t so. This guy was annoying on American Idol. Glad he didn’t win. I won’t be watching this show and don’t think anybody else will either.
Oh my god, you’re all sheep. Just because the guy has a halfway decent voice doesn’t mean he can act. And further more, he’s shown his true colors dumping his band to persue pop superstardom. Which only goes to prove, he doesn’t care about music, all he wants is to be rich and famous, I hope this Idiot falls flat on his face.

Constantine is by far the MOST phenomenal entertainer to ever set foot on a stage in my lifetime….(more than 3 decades) There is something so special about that man…and yes he CAN sing! and CAN act! and anyone who says they don’t see it is probably just jealous of him! He has a way of getting to his audience like non other I have ever seen before him! He knows just how to make you love him! He’s got this humbleness and sweetness about him….mixed in with a sexyness that can’t even be described in words! He is so multi-talented!
