Okay, so this time, John O’Hurley (left, with partner Charlotte Jorgensen) won. Kelly Monaco still gets to keep the disco-ball trophy she won in July. And Dancing With the Stars host Tom Bergeron, who re-launched the rivalry on Tuesday with the groaner, ”In the tradition of the great rematches — Ali vs. Frazier, McEnroe vs. Borg, the Rolling Stones and Father Time…” gets to go back into mothballs until next year.
Everybody happy now?

how childish…..o’hurley should have accepted defeat the first time…and not wine like a child…….so now they both won…..big deal.
Both Monaco and O’Hurley and their partners worked very hard and provided us with great entertainment.
Kudos to the producers and ABC for bringing the show to the TV screen.
I’ll be watching again this season.
Finally, the right decision has been made. Sure, Kelly was fun to watch, but where was the grace and class? With John and Charlotte of course.
I tried to vote for Kelly for over a 30 minutes straight and only succeeded in getting busy signals. Why was I voting for her? Not because she’s an ABC actress or because she danced better. I was voting solely in protest of that whiny, pompous O’Hurley who was completely and utterly unable to be a gracious loser. For God’s sake, you lost fair and square. Get over it. Thanks O’Hurley for ruining a perfectly sweet summer diversion.

I once had a lot of respect for John O’Hurley, but what kind of man whines over losing to a women who actually deserved to win. Kelly Monaco performed much harder dance steps than O’Hurley. Kelly has a quality win because the judges opinions counted. Class? Class would have been O’Hurley giving his congratulations to a deserving oponent, instead of pouting. Be proud O’Hurley, you whined your way to winning. Pathetic.
It makes me laugh that you men who are criticizing O’Hurley for whining are whining yourselves. LOL.
I thought it was a good show, and I thought Monaco was an absolutely awful loser. She threw daggers with her glare at O’Hurley and Jorgenson. She didn’t even clap! How can you criticize O’Hurley and not Monaco?
Oh, and by the way, it’s easier for a younger female to learn dance steps like she did than an older man. The guy has to lead, do the lifts, whereas the girl who is lifted just has to sit there, basically, and hope her partner doesn’t drop her. And faster steps weren’t appropriate for the type of dancing that John & Charlotte were doing.
Not only was the first competition unfair (mathmatically speaking it didn’t matter what O’Hurley did the final night or how many people called in for him becasue of the way the scores were calculted including the judges, Monaco won the week before the summer final-and it was a joke then. Why do you think they took out the judges portion. Sure they commented, but they didn’t count. If judges counted on all reality shows Corey Clark would be an American Idol). Now fans of the show demand a re-match, THEY CALL ABC, THEY E-MAIL ABC, THEY DEMAND A RE-MATCH, Monaco agrees and she is pissed when she looses. Guess what, the fans never like you in the first place! All she’s good for is skimpy outfits and sub-par acting. That’s a playmate for ya. Why doesn’t she just fade into obscurity where she belongs?
The right person won last night!
I don’t think it was only John that felt that he was ripped off in the earlier show, I for one thought it also.
As stated before it is harder to lead thanit is to follow!

Did you not watch the first series? Did you not see John glare? At least Charlotte had the dignity to smile, whether she meant it or not. Then days later on Larry King he still couldn't accept that he lost, he stated the judging system needed fixing. It's my guess that Kelly would probably have had an easier time of it if she had lost the first one, instead of having to listen to O'Hurley whine.
All of the recent news has been terrible. Hurricanes. The war in Iraq. Etc. It was fun and light hearted to watch John and Charlotte dance again. And win. IMHO, they were cheated the first time around.

It’s all about money people! They wouldn’t have even done a rematch if they (ABC) didn’t know it would equal big $$$.
Didn’t watch…Emeril was cooking lasagna
John should have taken a lesson from Clay and accepted defeat gracefully the first time.
