Photoblog: The Pamela Anderson roast

Categories: Television

14484__roast_lI know, I know — it’s a roast, it’s supposed to be raunchy. It’s one thing to bleep out a word or two, but Comedy Central’s censors will have their work cut out for them trying to pixilate long stretches of last night’s Pamela Anderson roast in order to make it safe for a basic-cable broadcast on Sunday.

Chief offenders were probably Andy Dick — who used the occasion to feel up the guest of honor (above left), French-kiss fellow comic Jeffrey Ross (above right), and bury his head in Tommy Lee’s lap (not pictured, alas) — and Courtney Love (above center), who showed off her own assets, flashed her panties at the crowd, and (in the words of Comedy Central’s publicist) was generally ”acting like Tom Cruise on acid.” Pam, Courtney, and Anna Nicole Smith weren’t the only golden girls on hand; Bea Arthur was there as well, says the Comedy Central rep, ”reading sexually explicit excerpts from Anderson’s new ‘novel.”’ Can’t wait to see how all this plays out on TV; just hope the resulting show is more than 11 minutes long.

What did Pam Anderson do (besides make a porno movie) to deserve a roast?????

  • moxiejo

Bea Arthur is the best! She’s such a classy woman and never let’s the whole, “people think i’m really a man” thing get her down. I’d watch this just for her. Who gives a crap about Pamela Anderson?!

  • skip1955

Pamela Anderson is just an old version of Britney and Jessica Simpson. Fake man-made bodies with no talent. Bea Arthur should be ashamed for appearing with this crowd of crude, low want-to-be comics.

  • SF

Um, hi, Jessica’s boobies are quite real. They’re the reason no one wanted her to have a gospel career in high school. Pam takes some ugly pictures, her face is starting to look old.

Pam Anderson is alright. Her VIP was an inspiration for low budget action and sci fi dramas that now make up the Saturday afternoon syndicated fare which replaced them nasty old 1950’s reruns tv stations used to air. Credit where it is due, she is the first of the “famous bimbos” to accentuate and laugh about how her boobs and blonde hair got her to the top. She’s exploited her own image as a blonde bimbo to get starring roles on TV (Stacked, VIP, Stripperella, Baywatch), a book deal, and starring roles in movies (Barbwire). She may not be brilliant or a great actress, but as much as we laugh at her, the truth is that Pam laughs with us, the loudest, and she laughs all the way to the bank.
Maybe Comedy Central can air the special unedited during the “Secret Stash”? I hate to admit it , but raunchy humor totally F$%KING sucks when it’s edited.
Ever since Estelle Getty made “Stop or my mom will shoot”, Bea Arthur seems to be the only golden girl to get props from people…

Doesn’t Disney play a movie on Sundays????

  • T

“. . . And Bea Arthur as Peter Griffin.”

    Unbelievable!
How come Pamela Anderson with a pea size brain deserves a Roast??????????

  • EveryAmericanGuy

she’s hot. That’s what she did to deserve a roast. Sounds like a lot of ladies with some serious personal issues are sounding off here! Why so bitter? She’s no different than the loads of other people who got rich and famous simply by being attractive. Get off the bitter bus at the next stop ladies! Oh, and BTW- most men DON’T care if they’re real or not. I like how the women who are first to exclaim “they’re not real!” are also the one’s with a drawer full of padded wonder bra’s! TV’s don’t naturally grow on women, but we spend plenty of time watching THOSE also! lol…

Pam and Tommy are the best. So hot!! Pam DOES deserve a roast. She’s been entertaining us for many years now, and they way she blew Tommy’s mind with her beauty is to be admired. I wish I coulda been her! I love Tommy!

  • Shannan

Screw it! I loved it! She can laugh at herself, jesus people, take the stick out and relax. Have a sense of humor!

  • noot

Notice its not a Friars Club celebrity luncheon (roast). Friars roast people with talent…well, that’t not true either, the past two have been Don King and Don Trump, both very slimy professional con artists, but at least have a saccharin charisma.
I couldn’t stomach 5 mintutes of the pamela roast, but its actually better than 99% on
    comedy central!

Just got done watching it , and was one of the funniest things i have seen on regular TV in a while. Loosen up a little bit people, church was this morning!!! Sure it was a little crude, but hell what isnt these days!!!

It was HILARIOUS. Crude, yes, but hilarious. I wasn’t aware that minimum brain ’size’ was a requirement for being roasted. Still, big boobs and all, she’s clearly not stupid–just willing to let you think so enough to rake in the $$.

Sorry, I guess I’m showing my age (41) – not understanding the contemptible, coarse, and vicious treatment of Bea Arthur. I’m old-fashioned, I believe in respect of older people, especially one who has been a mainstay in the business for decades. It wasn’t funny, it was inexcusable. I miss the roasts of the 70’s, they were naughty, irreverent, but still had a degree of class and decorum. This show was cruel to the bone, featuring a freak show of has-beens, and utterly contemptible in its venomous black-hearted “humor.” Our entertainment culture just keeps spiraling downward.

  • Vince

Riddle me this. Who is the poor soul that gets knocked off his seat when Andy Dick walks off after doing his so called “Doctor” skit? And was it really necessary to abuse the breasts of Pammy Annie :(
All n all a funny Roast. At times taken a little far especially with Bea Arthur.

  • thedailykirk

The roasts on comedy central are part of a new trend of comedy. It was exempified in the moive called “The Aristocrats” that just came out. If you’re not into it, better take comedy central off your TV. It’s just gonna get worse. But I’ll be watching everyday after school.

WHAT AN AMAZINGLY FUNNY PERFORMANCE BY BEA ARTHUR. I HAVE SEEN HER ONE WOMAN SHOW MANY TIMES AND JUST LOVE TO HEAR RAUNCHY MATERIAL COMING OUR OF HER MOUTH. TO BE HONEST, IF IT WASN’T FOR BEA BEING THERE I WOULDN’T HAVE WATCHED THE SHOW.. THANKS BEA, FOR ONCE AGAIN MAKING ME STAND UP IN MY LIVING ROOM JUMPING UP AND DOWN WITH EXCITEMENT. CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU AGAIN.
    REGARDS,
    CHRISTOPHER

The BEST part was when Courtney kinda fell off the stage at the last moment and knocked Pam a bit. Pam was like “What the hell…?”

  • BobBob

I wouldn’t do Bea Arthur if she was the last woman on earth…

  • Russ Loniello

MTV did a real nice job is killing the music business
and your show last night added to the no talent and inbaressment to showbusiness. Keep showing this type of entertainment to our youth and poision there minds. Its not entertaining at all. All your guests displayed a lack of talent and no class. Better look back on the real pros in show business.

  • Rob2005

Absolutely hystarical!!! I was shocked and very amused to see Bea Arthur in that type of forum. Bea did not seem at all shocked by the barrage of attacks aimed against her. All of the comics were extremely funny (especially Andy Dick) with their relentless slams and satirical remarks on Pamela. I especially enjoyed Pamela’s see through top……WOW!!! Courtney Love was also funny, but she seemed to take some of the spotlight from Pam with her crazy, dazed, stumbling antics. Tommy Lee’s musical performance was not even half bad.
For all the people who felt the Roast went too far……CHANGE THE CHANNEL……It’s Comedy Central, what did you expect?

  • ManofWorld

    Pam’s hair looked like HELL!

  • tyler

Pam was hot!!! Love the see thru top. Perfect for the occasion. C. Love…that whore….she shouldnt be allowed on TV after 11am, or she should be tested before the lights come on. You can always count on her to ruin something good. The bad part is this blog is getting more comments on her than Pam.

  • Pugs

It was funny as hell. I loved it. Bea was a riot. They were all funny. But why the hell was that trailor trash whore Courtney Love there? She’s a disgrace. I don’t consider Pamela Anderson a class act by any stretch of the imagination….but she’s definitely scrapping the bottom of the barrel being associated with that talentless crack whore..love…

  • averagejoe

Damn… missed it. Is Comedy Central going to rerun it?

  • oldslimball

I thought Pam should have her fake boobs taken out first and then I’d think about doing her

  • BeasHusband

BEA ARTHUR never has turned me on sexually.
