This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever read in my life. The character Daisy had shorts named after her because they were so tight and short that you could see plenty of cheek. And since when did the “Dukes of Hazard” earn classic status? If any 80’s show deserved a little ribbing, this was it, (Great American Hero excluded.)
THAT is the reason we shouldn’t see “Dukes of Hazzard”? Wow! I was thinking maybe it was because it sucked, but I am sure glad Cooter cleared that up for me. I’ve seen the previews and I’m headin’ fer the hills!

I’m avoiding this movie. it’s one thing to wear tight shorts, but you didn’t have lines of stupid sexual innuendo like in this new movie. the violence seems to have gone way up too. and considering CMT is recieving huge ratings for the reruns, it IS a classic and has been for years. and no WAYLON JENNINGS won’t be narriating as he has been dead for 3 years. I believe Willie Nelson is singing the song and possibly narriating. Just a bunch of MTV idiots and a pop singer doing a pooor job of acting like good ‘ol country people, and throwing in their modern trash and filth into it.
I went to see this and I was shocked. Jesse never told dirty jokes. Bo was no a nerd. Luke was smart not a sex crazed man. The origenal Dukes show was a family show. The language middle finger action and dirty joke in the new movie does not fit the for the whole family title. I will never recomment this movie to any REAL Dukes of Hazard fan or even to my worst enemy.
Just the tv ads make Jessica Simpson looks slutty. I am far from a prude but this movie is over the top. Just a bunch of crap.
I thoght this movie was good. I might be the only one who thought that, and it may be that I think that Jonny Konxville is hot. But give the movie a chance and stop making it sound like the movie Gigli.

I don’t see the connection. The only word I assosiate with ‘Cooter’ is cooties! Maybe I’m nieve or more likely in this case, Mr. Susman just has a dirty mind. I don’t know why they chose the name Cooter, but whatever the reason, I seriously doubt that it was the result of some sexual reference. I don’t know about the rest ya’ll, but I never saw anything sexual or sexy about Cooter’s character. He wasn’t exactly a ladies’ man.
I haven’t seen the movie either so I won’t give an opinion on it, but Mr. Jones (Cooter) looked at the early script when he made those comments and urged them to clean it up. If you’ve seen the movie and in your opinion it isn’t dirty, then maybe it’s because they DID clean it up. Given Hollywood’s present-day obsession with sex, I’m not too sure of that, but I hope so, because it was too good of a show to disgrace like that. Despite my skepticism, I’ll try to keep and open mind.
I have been a Duke Fan sence the 80’s,let me tell you what i think. They Tottely demolished not only the Family orented movie,But the name Dukes of Hazzerd.That Movie was just wrong. Personnaly i think that Danny Devitto would have made the Best of Boss Hog & i always thought that uncle Jessi looked alot like Santa Clause. & their are alot of santa look a likes out their that could have made a better Uncle Jessi than Willie Nelson.
