Lakers fans ding Kobe Bryant with Gotye parody

There was no joy in Los Angeles on Monday night, after mighty Kobe and the Lakers were eliminated from the playoffs by Oklahoma City, and two creative fans aimed their frustration at the team’s polarizing star. Parodying Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know,” the duo of Dan Rib and Ken Belcher knocked Kobe Bryant for not being “The Kobe That We Used to Know.”

Points to any songwriter who can squeeze in references to the triangle offense, but the song’s thrust that Bryant is a ball hog — he scored 42 points in Game 5 but dished out zero assists — is hardly news. It never stopped the Lakers from winning multiple NBA titles… but I digress.

I’m just glad Rib wore his Lakers jersey and steered clear of body paint. Watch it below. READ FULL STORY »

Will Smith addresses kissing fiasco on 'Letterman' -- WATCH

By now you’ve probably seen the viral video of Will Smith at the Moscow premiere of Men in Black 3, where a Ukrainian journalist asked Smith for a hug and then attempted to give him an open-mouth kiss, and Smith briefly lost his famous cool.

Last night, Smith addressed the incident on Late Night with David Letterman, telling Letterman: “It’s just awkward, Dave.” The consummate entertainer was game to laugh things off, and the audience seemed to be laughing with him. He explained he was later told this journalist’s “shtick” was kissing unsuspecting celebs (as EW reported, this is the same “journalist/prankster” who was responsible for Hydrangea-gate last year.)

Let the Fresh Prince explain something to you: That may be his schtick, but “that’s why his ass got schtuck.”

'Fifty Shades of Grey' narrated by Gilbert Gottfried: NSFW video

Gilbert Gottfried is narrating the novel you’re desperately hoping your mom isn’t reading – Fifty Shades of Grey.

To be fair, the NSFW clip is a joke, and a pretty funny one at that, but I I could go my whole life without hearing Grey’s raunchiest lines narrated in Gottfried’s nails-on-chalkboard voice.

Check out — and get ready to cringe at — Gottfried’s narration below: READ FULL STORY »

Have you ever been this upset about a TV show? Check out fan's reaction to 'How I Met Your Mother' finale

HIMYM-Harris

Okay, I’ll admit that I started humming along to Cat Stevens at the end of last night’s How I Met Your Mother season finale. It was hard to see everyone grow up (Barney & Robin — phew!) and I’m just so darn happy for Marshall and Lily and Waitforit. I rewound to watch the Breakfast Club costumes again. And fine, I’ll even admit to getting a little misty-eyed when Ted drove off into the sunset with Victoria — don’t we all deserve to be happy?

HIMYM-REACT

But I’ve got nothing on the girl pictured to the left – an unnamed fan, who in this video, has an uncontrollable reaction to the end of the show’s seventh season, weeping hysterically as the last lines of dialogue roll across the screen.

How did we find this gem? Well, from none other than Barney himself, Neil Patrick Harris, who tweeted her video to the world on Tuesday (he did give her the courtesy of leaving her anonymous, although it’s probably only a matter of time…oh, Internet!). Harris (@actuallyNPH) wrote: “Loving the kind tweets and positive reaction to last night’s HIMYM season finale! Thanks! Here’s my favorite [link].”

We can only hope that she also taped her reaction to finding out he retweeted her. In the meantime, there’s always the over-the-top Twilight enthusiast to keep us company.

Patton Oswalt searches for the first 'First!' in Webbys promo

History books are filled with accounts of famous firsts — the first women’s rights convention, the first World War, the first man to walk on the moon. But who was the first Internet user to read a blog post, then scroll down to the comments section and furiously type a simple message: “FIRST”? Comedian, Ratatouille star, and amateur fake historian Patton Oswalt may have just discovered the answer.

An Internet hero in his own right, Oswalt is hosting the 16th Annual Webby Awards next Monday. The following FunnyOrDie video, which dramatizes his quest to discover the first “First,” serves as a promo for his hosting gig — but it’s also pretty great in its own right. Watch for yourself below.

Prince Charles reads the weather report

Remember that one episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm when Larry David decided to be a car salesman for a day? So replace “car salesman” with “weatherman” and “Larry David” with “heir to the throne of Great Britain,” and you’ve got an actual event that occurred today. Yes, Prince Charles swung by the BBC’s Scotland office to deliver the weather report, his sherry-cask voice making phrases like “cold, wet, and windy” sound like national emergencies. Jon Hamm assures teenage girls that it's okay to fart -- VIDEO

Teenage girls, please don’t take advice from Don Draper. He’ll tell you to drink and smoke constantly, disappear for weeks at a time, and lie to everyone about everything; that may have worked for a powerful man in the ’60s, but you’ll probably be less successful if you embrace Don’s philosophy now. (Also, that whole ethos isn’t really working for Draper himself anymore, either.)

However, you can and should take advice from Jon Hamm. The Mad Men star recently followed in Paul Rudd’s footsteps by making an “Ask a Grown Man” video for Rookie — and it’s chock-full of expert guidance. Check it out below to see the dapper dude urge girls to embrace their personal style, wait longer than three weeks to do it with a fellow teen, and fart with abandon. Viva la Hamm!

'Desperate Housewives': Watch (almost all of) Wisteria Lane's grisly deaths -- VIDEO

Death has always been big on Wisteria Lane.

That became extremely apparent back in March, when former Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan took ABC Studios to court over the on-screen death of her character Edie Britt, who she said was killed off the show in retaliation for an incident the actress had with series creator Marc Cherry. One of the central questions during those proceedings was: Does Desperate Housewives actually kill off big characters like Edie? A chunk of ABC’s defense was spent trying to prove that, partly by including a video montage of all the characters that had been killed. Said video was a doozy, featuring dozens of deaths on the show. Up until that point, Sheridan’s character was arguably the biggest character to bite the dust, although Susan Delfino’s husband Mike (James Denton) would soon meet his maker. (Hatcher was none too happy about that, although she didn’t take ABC to court over it.)

The short answer to the Desperate Housewives death question, though, is: Yes, they do kill of characters. So, in anticipation of the show’s series finale on Sunday, May 13 — which may include a death or two? — ABC has released a funny video montage of all the grim reaping that Wisteria Lane has witnessed over its eight seasons. Although it’s clearly not the same montage that was used in court, it’s a pretty fun romp and a reminder of all those great moments. Not to mention it’s cheekily set to “Another One Bites the Dust.”

Interestingly enough, the demise of Sheridan’s vampy Edie is nowhere to be found, but the shooting of James Denton’s plumber Mike is featured prominently right in the middle of the montage, which also includes the ends of fave characters like Martha Huber (Christine Estabrook), Frank Kaminsky (Larry Hagman), Nora Huntington (Kiersten Warren), and Victor Lang (John Slattery). Prepare for Sunday evening by enjoying the video here:
