'RuPaul's All Stars Drag Race' season finale: The first inductee into the 'Drag Race' Hall of Fame is...
Near the end of last night’s season finale of RuPaul’s All Stars Drag Race, host and show namesake RuPaul was really trying to sell the idea that any of the four remaining queens — Chad Michaels, Shannel, Raven, and Jujubee — could take home the crown. “I feel like my four favorite actresses,” Ru said, just before silencing her fellow judges and bringing the contestants back for some decisions, “are up for the same award.”
It was a lovely sentiment from the ever-fair and all-queen-loving RuPaul, but the fact of the matter that this final leg of the competition was only really between three queens — and, as the judges’ thoughts on the final three-pronged challenge were metered out, it became clear that it was only really between two.
I’m not even gonna really put a spoiler alert on this one: Shannel was never really in this competition at the end. She bombed her comedy show, her drag was a mess, and she was deluded — it was clear from the outset of last night’s hour that she wasn’t going to be named as the much-coveted first inductee into the Drag Race Hall of Fame. You might be able to guess who was the other weak link. (Her name rhymes with: smujubee.)
“You are all my legendary children, but there’s room for just one inductee to the Drag Race Hall of Fame,” Ru told the ladies, yes again assuring them they were all great, which isn’t technically wrong but only applied to two weeks. And then, after the lip-sync-for-your-life portion of the evening — featuring the right two queens, but what could be slugged a controversial winner — Ru uttered the words we were all dying to hear: “The first inductee into the Drag Race Hall of Fame is…”
'DWTS': The Twelve Torsos of Thanksgiving!
On the day of Thanksgiving, my true love Lord Mirrorballus gave to me: 12 Torsos Twirling! Here’s a dozen bare chests — from 2012 alone! — to be thankful for this turkey day. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of dark meat (thank you spray tan) to go around. READ FULL STORY »
'RuPaul's All Stars Drag Race' episode 5 shocker! RuPaul doesn't make any queen 'sashay away'
Well, wasn’t that just about the craziest hour of RuPaul’s Drag Race ever? And, no, despite the photograph of Elvira here, it wasn’t her contribution as a guest judge (alongside Bridesmaids star Wendi McLendon-Covey) that sent the second-to-last hour of All Stars over the edge. No, that could be, first and mostly, attributed to the crazy main challenge of the penultimate hour, which found the four remaining queens — Chad Michaels and Shannel, or “Shad”; and Raven and Jujubee, or “Rujubee” — creating their own brand of superheros.
Actually, taking into account the fact that the Entertainment Weekly brand tries to be family friendly (well, we try to be sometimes), I can’t even really type out the superhero storyline that Chad and Shannel put together. Maybe I’m getting cranky in my old age, but it had to do with vaginal rejuvenation and lactation. Actually, Elvira did have a good quip that summed up the whole presentation that “Shad” put on with their superheroes: “It was like a trip to the gyno’s office for me.” Well put!
The real crazy of the evening, though, came during the lip-sync-for-your-life portion of the evening. Ru had announced early in the episode that one of the teams was going to be on the bottom and would have to lip-sync against one another. But who knew that the pending situation would create one of the most dramatic moments of Drag Race history. The two queens that had to lip-sync against each other were…

'RuPaul's All Stars Drag Race' episode 4: And then there were four
The devastating sting of last week’s elimination — which saw Manila Luzon and my fave Latrice Royale “sashay away” — may still fresh, but at least the right girls walked off the main stage in last night’s episode of RuPaul’s All Stars Drag Race.
That’s right — and here’s your requisite SPOILER ALERT if you haven’t watched the episode yet — time was up for Yara Sofia and Alexis Mateo. The duo, known simply as Yarlexis, enjoyed their last challenge on RuPaul’s All Stars Drag Race and were sent packing after a lip-sync-for-your-life situation that saw both of them (yes, Yara pushed the button to take over for Alexis!) pitted against a simply adequate Raven.
Google Doodle celebrates sculptor Auguste Rodin
Will Ferrell’s “Art Class Guy” is going to be thrilled to hear this.
Google’s latest homepage design celebrates what would have been French sculptor Auguste Rodin’s 172 birthday. When you click on The Thinker in Google, you are brought to the search results for “Auguste Rodin.” Considered the progenitor of modern sculpture, Rodin’s most celebrated works are likely familiar to you, whether you’re an art history buff or not. From “The Age of Bronze” to “St. John the Baptist Preaching” Rodin’s art, influenced heavily by Michelangelo, was quite controversial during his time.
His most famous piece, “Le Penseur (The Thinker),” that Google replicated above, was created in 1902 in Paris. According to his bio on the Metropolitan Museum of Art website, “The increasingly erotic character of Rodin’s sculpture can be explained by his preoccupation with two highly charged literary sources. These were Dante’s Inferno and Baudelaire’s The Flowers of Evil.”

Got a spare two hours? Why not watch every James Bond movie as a single James Bond movie?
So much for getting any work done today.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the James Bond movie franchise, not to mention the release of Skyfall tomorrow, the folks at Eon Productions have stitched together all 22 movies featuring Agent 007 into one single omnibus James Bond movie. (Sorry Never Say Never Again fans, wherever you are — it didn’t make the cut.) More intriguing still, this super-Bond film was constructed in chronological order, with the opening sequence from 1962′s Dr. No, followed by roughly the fifth through tenth minutes of 1963′s From Russia With Love, the tenth through fifteenth minutes of 1964′s Goldfinger, and so on up through the final five minutes from 2008′s Quantum of Solace.
It makes for a remarkably cohesive storytelling experience; Carey Lowell wondering where she’s going to get a small prop plane in 1989′s License to Kill, for example, segues perfectly into Pierce Brosnan flying a small prop plane in 1995′s GoldenEye. Whether that’s an indictment of the Bond formula, or a testimony to its resilience, I leave to you to decide.

In the wake of devastating hurricane Sandy that hit the east coast last week, the entertainment industry has been vocal in its support of the relief efforts. NBC hosted a telecast Friday, and ABC promoted a “Day of Giving” yesterday. In addition, many entertainment-based companies pledged money. What were the results?
Check it out below:
