Rapper Riff Raff appears on the latest episode of One Life to Live, which now lives on Hulu, playing an art dealer named Jamie Franko. For a quick backstory, Riff Raff thinks that James Franco basically got all his inspiration for his role of Alien in Spring Breakers from him, isn’t super happy about it. Franco wrote an essay about how Dangeruss was one of his main inspirations for the role, also says it was inspired by a lot of people. Which Oscar-winner did Harmony Korine shove to earn 'Letterman' ban? James Franco gets answers! -- VIDEO
James Franco went on The Late Show With David Letterman to promote his new film Spring Breakers, directed by Harmony Korine, but what he really wanted to know was why Korine had been banned from the show about 10 years ago.
”The legend is that he pushed Meryl Streep backstage,” Franco said, quickly adding ”I mean if you push Meryl Streep backstage you get kicked off.”
”Not necessarily,” Letterman joked.

James Franco's grandmother wants you to see 'Spring Breakers' -- VIDEO
EW’s Owen Gleiberman called James Franco “mesmerizing” and “genius” in the role of Alien in Spring Breakers, so it’s no wonder his family is proud of him.
In this new ad for Spring Breakers, which was posted on the movie’s Facebook page, Franco’s adorable grandmother offers her support for the film. Her endorsement over shots of girls in bikinis grabbing guns surely has director Harmony Korine kicking himself for not including her in the movie.
Franco’s grandmother also made a memorable appearance in Funny or Die’s ”Christmas Greetings From the Franco’s” telling James that she was so proud of him for his job in 127 Hours.

A tour through the weird-sick-genius of 'Spring Breakers' director Harmony Korine
Spring Breakers is not a shy movie by any means, but it is a radical departure for director Harmony Korine. In fact, movies like Gummo, Trash Humpers, and Julien Donkey Boy are so gonzo-bizarro that Springbreakers arguably ranks among the most shocking wide-release departures for a director that we’ve ever seen.
You may have seen Kids back in the ’90s (which Korine wrote, but did not direct), and think you have a general idea. But you don’t. Seriously, you don’t. So to help those who think they’re up for a quick taste, we’ve compiled some scenes (definitely NSFW), categorized by common Korine themes, to give a quick peek at the disturbances dancing around in Korine’s mind before he turned 40 this year and seemingly aged out of his own drug-scrambled insanity (though we thought that before, with the relatively “normal” Mr. Lonely, only to see a return to plot-less insanity in Trash Humpers, so who the hell knows). PopWatch Confessional: I never had (but always kind of wanted) a spring break like those in the movies

Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers comes out this weekend and although most of the stories surrounding the movie focus on its Disney starlets (Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens) gone bad, what this movie really got me thinking about is how this is the first year in forever that I haven’t had a spring break.
I didn’t have an older sibling, so everything I knew about college came from movies and TV. Given that, when I was in high school, I imagined spring break would be a 24-hour party where everyone was beautiful, the music bumped all night long, there were no repercussions for gross misjudgments or transgressions, and everything was free. It went a little something like this:
EXT. A POOLSIDE PARTY SOMEWHERE IN FLORIDA. DAY.
Girls in neon bikinis and guys in cartoon swim trunks dance in slow motion around our lead character, SARAH. Every man is inexplicably a football player, every woman a model. Sarah holds a fruity drink as she walks alongside the pool, away from the cabana, taking in the atmosphere. One Abercrombie model throws a football to another Hollister model and he catches it while diving into the pool. No one gets tired. A mysterious boy accidentally bumps into our heroine. She’s turns around, upset. But wait, he’s pretty handsome.
