BET Awards 2014: Full list of winners

Last night, Beyoncé dominated the Chris Rock-hosted BET Awards in L.A., picking up statues for both Best Collaboration (with Jay Z) for her ode to chairs “Drunk in Love” as well as Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, beating out Janelle Monáe, Jhené Aiko, K. Michelle, Rihanna, and Tamar Braxton.

Pharrell Williams continued his big year by taking home the award for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist as well as the night’s biggest prize, Video of the Year, for “Happy.” (Beyoncé was nominated twice in that category, but clearly split her own vote.)

The night wasn’t without a few (inadvertent) surprise moments. The screen misspelled Lionel Richie’s name wrong during his Lifetime Achievement Award acceptance speech, and Robin Thicke made everyone uncomfortable with yet another public plea for wife Paula Patton to take him back. Perhaps it’s time for Patton to burn him a mix tape of Taylor Swift.

Robin Thicke talks Miley: 'Listen, I'm the twerkee. I'm twerked upon'

Still upset over what Miley Cyrus did at the VMAs? First of all, who are you, and why won’t you just let it go?! Secondly, Robin Thicke wants you to know that the whole incident wasn’t his fault — he’s merely Cyrus’s poor, put-upon “twerkee.”

“I was walking out towards Miley,  [and] I’m not thinking sex. I’m thinking fun, you know?” Thicke tells Oprah Winfrey on this Sunday’s episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter.  “I mean, her and I don’t have that kind of — and just remember, I’m singing my butt off. So I’m sitting there, I’m looking up at the sky, and I’m singing. I’m not really paying attention to all that. That’s on her.”

And that’s when he uses the dreaded “t” word. “People ask me, ‘Do you twerk?’” the singer says. “I’m like, ‘Listen, I’m the twerkee. I’m twerked upon.’”

Twerk it this Halloween in the official Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke VMA costumes -- PHOTOS

This Halloween, there are many ways to dress up as Miley Cyrus: Wear a ridiculously revealing leotard, a nude bra and panties, a teddy-bear backpack, a sheer top, or absolutely nothing while riding a wrecking ball (good luck with that one). But if you really want to channel the Disney-star-grown-way-up, we suggest you relive the night that started all of our twerking nightmares. Obviously, we’re talking about Cyrus’ VMAs performance with Foot Locker employee Robin Thicke.

But if you’re going to be Cyrus for Halloween, there’s one requirement: Go big or go home. And thanks to Spirit Halloween, you can get Cyrus’ complete VMAs look. Well, you might have to hire your own human-sized teddy bears, but surely those won’t be too hard to find.

Let’s get you started on your look:

The VMAs seating chart pairs Lady Gaga with Katy Perry: We imagine their conversation (or lack thereof) and more

After seeing a few photos and a video of the seating chart for this Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, we couldn’t help but dream of the music-video awards show’s riff on a high school cafeteria. For one, dueling divas Lady Gaga and Katy Perry will sit in forced proximity throughout the three-hour event. Below, we consider five of the most potentially awkward-yet-entertaining possibilities.

Jimmy Fallon and Robin Thicke perform 'Blurred Lines' on kiddie instruments -- VIDEO

Last night, on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, Robin Thicke dropped by for a G-rated performance of ”Blurred Lines.” Instead of gazelle-like-lilting models for props, Fallon’s got house band The Roots providing a fun honky-tonk-sounding, end-of-the-week-happy-jam — sounds courtesy of a plethora of rainbow-colored kindergarten instruments. I dare you not to bop your head to this cute cover. C’mon, there’s a banana shaker! READ FULL STORY

Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' gets a gender swap -- VIDEO

There has been rendition after rendition, but this time, Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” gets a visual do-over as well. Seattle-based boylesque troupe (seriously, how great is the word “boylesque”?) decided to parody the hit song, even redoing the music video so that beautiful, strong women are singing and rapping while some boys with very little clothing prance around them.

On their YouTube page, the troupe said that they wanted “to show a spectrum of sexuality as well as present both women and men in a positive light, one where objectifying men is more than alright and where women can be strong and sexy without negative repercussions.”

I must say, the song and video works incredibly well with the whole gender-swap. Check out the video below:

'Blurred Lines' + the theme from 'Growing Pains' = perfection

Don’t waste another minute on your crying — it’d be better spent listening to this awesome mashup, which matches the cheese-tastic vocals of Growing Pains‘s theme song with the groovy beat of Robin Thicke’s hit song “Blurred Lines.”

The singer, of course, is the son of Alan Thicke, who starred in Growing Pains as all-knowing psychiatrist Dr. Jason Seaver. His photoshopped image also stars in the mashup’s video; who knew Dr. S got so nasty in his free time?
