Kim Novak speaks out against Oscar night 'bullies'

If you made a mean joke about Kim Novak’s changing face on Oscar night, she wants you to know you really hurt her feelings.

The Vertigo star — whose current appearance became one of the buzzier moments of the Oscar ceremony this year — told the Associated Press that the cruel comments really surprised her. “It really did throw me into a tailspin and it hit me hard,” she explained. “I thought, ‘Perhaps Hollywood is ready to receive me in a different way’…I was just not prepared for such a negative reaction and it just caught me off guard.”

On Thursday, Novak wrote an open letter regarding the Oscars, where she explained, “I’m not going to deny that I had fat injections in my face. They seemed far less invasive than a face lift…In my opinion, a person has a right to look as good as they can, and I feel better when I look better.”

Jennifer Lawrence's best friend wrote a behind-the-scenes account of Oscars night

It’s a well-known fact that everyone wants to be Jennifer Lawrence’s best friend. Who among us hasn’t imagined scarfing down pizza with the American Hustle star while laughing at fart jokes and oh, yeah — hanging with Bradley Cooper like it ain’t no thang? But we never knew what it was actually like to be J. Law’s best friend — until now.

Lawrence’s real-life BFF, model Laura Simpson, was the actress’ date to last week’s Oscars, which led Simpson to write a pretty epic MySpace post about the night. Truly, it may go down as the greatest behind-the-scenes report from the Academy Awards ever. Why? Because Simpson is understandably starstruck and recounts Hollywood’s most exclusive evening through a real-person lens. So while she got to rub shoulders with Brad Pitt, guess what? Some parts of attending the Oscars aren’t nearly as glamorous as they seem. READ FULL STORY

Oscars 2014: Pizza guy gets a hefty tip on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' -- VIDEO

Pizza delivery guy Edgar had a good Sunday night. He got to deliver pizza to the Oscars and received a $1,000 tip. Sorry, Lupita, but it looks like Edgar was the real winner last night.

Edgar, co-owner of pizzeria Big Mama’s & Papa’s, appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday to talk about his surprise visit to the Oscars. Apparently, he was told he was going to deliver pizza to some writers and was shocked when DeGeneres led him to the stage, where he looked out at the huge audience and offered an adorable “hello!”

As if going on an unexpected trip to the Oscars and getting a huge tip wasn’t enough, Edgar also got to meet his dream lady: Julia Roberts, who he served a slice of pizza to. See, kids, dreams do come true!

DeGeneres ended the interview by pulling out Pharrell’s hat filled with money and telling Edgar she ended up collecting around $600 from the audience for his tip. Then she pulled out $400 from her pocket and handed the wad of cash to a laughing Edgar. So, how do we break into the pizza delivery business?

Oscars 2014: Emma Watson, Kurt Russell, more pick their desert island Oscar movies -- VIDEO

Now that the 86th Annual Academy Awards have sailed off into the pizza-covered sunset, awards season is officially dunzo. But in honor of the final red carpet of the season, EW took to the Oscars with an incredibly important question — if you were stranded on a desert island, which Oscar-winning movie would you take with you? Selena Gomez is an 'elegant princess' in Justin Bieber's Oscar photo

Selena Gomez stepped out at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party last night looking pretty glamorous — and Hollywood gawkers weren’t the only ones who noticed. The pop star’s ex, Justin Bieber, tweeted a rather up close and personal picture of the starlet on his Instagram, calling her “the most elegant princess in the world.” Naturally, the photo prompted lots of attention from his fans, including comments such as, “he still loves her! Hope they can work things out!”

So what’s the deal? Are the two actually getting back together? Supposedly, they weren’t allowed to communicate during the 21-year-old’s stint in rehab, so maybe this was just Bieber giving a well-deserved compliment to his former sweetheart. Then again, given that several large pizzas magically showed up at the Dolby Theatre Sunday, the Oscars proved that anything could happen that night — so maybe we shouldn’t be so quick to dismiss the thought. These Oscars were unusually lacking in memorable reaction shots — perhaps Amy Adams’ quick iPhone-check sums up the whole show?

Will it be 12 Years a Slave or Gravity? Will people enjoy Ellen DeGeneres’ performance, or will we be wishing it was Anne Hathaway and James Franco again instead? Will Jonah Hill end the night as an Oscar winner? So many questions, and in just a few hours we’ll have the answers.

Right now, we may not know every crazy future meme that will happen during tonight’s ceremony (airing on ABC beginning at 7 p.m. ET), but we made some educated guesses about things that could go down during the DeGeneres-hosted telecast, including some sure things: Tears, rambling speeches, a Charming Jennifer Lawrence.
