Lunchtime Poll: Here's the Facebook movie poster

Here’s the movie poster for The Social Network, a.k.a. the Facebook movie. (I think a better title would be The Stupid Internet.) Jesse Eisenberg, looking very American Psycho here, plays Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg in the David Fincher-directed adaptation of Ben Mezrich’s book The Accidental Billionaire: The Founding of Facebook, A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal.

Remember, YOU DON’T GET TO 500 MILLION FRIENDS WITHOUT MAKING A FEW ENEMIES. Now visit the clever marketing website 500millionfriends.com and resume networking socially. Or is it social networking? Is that a verb? For me, it’s usually neither because I am a shut-in who’s too busy watching that new reality show about lesbians.

'Gulliver's Travels' poster: Giant Jack Black

jack-black-poster_216.jpg The poster for Gulliver’s Travels has arrived. Jack Black looks giant — and younger — as the title character, a reporter who is washed up on an island inhabited by little people, in the 3-D reimagination of the Jonathan Swift story. I love Jack Black, but I can’t help thinking it might’ve been nice to get Jason Segel and Emily Blunt on the poster. Or at least their names. Is Black alone the reason you’ll see this movie?

This Week in Lindsay Lohan: Alcohol bracelets, blonde hair, and porn stars

lindsay-lohanImage Credit: Devone Byrd/PacificCoastNews.comLindsay Lohan has had a busy week. After finally making it back from “networking” at the Cannes Film Festival, the 23-year-old actress appeared in court to face an outstanding DUI charge. The verdict? A new fashion accessory for LiLo! The 23-year-old actress will now wear an alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet called a SCRAM device. Pair that with her newly blonde hair and sunny pro-sobriety tweets (“Red Bull and Waters and Work – my new bff’s hehe – everyone should try it! It’s more fun – you’ll see :) x”), is this Lindsay 2.0?

Along with these personal changes came the first look at a poster for Inferno, the Linda Lovelace biopic directed by Matthew Wilder. Lohan looks scared and vulnerable, doing her best to capture the tragic porn star, famous for her role in 1972’s Deep Throat.

Confession: I’m still rooting for a LiLo comeback. Anyone else? Inferno is one of two upcoming films Lohan has in the works, with Robert Rodriguez’s Machete (co-starring Danny Trejo, Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, and Steven Seagal) scheduled for a Sept. 3 release. Will these new looks and new projects be enough to get Lohan back on track? Or will the alcohol monitoring bracelet (and her continuous trips to the clubs) derail her future yet again? Do you like blonde Lindsay better than brunette Lindsay? And what do you think of her take on Linda Lovelace?

'Salt' poster, starring Angelina Jolie's cheekbones

salt-posterAngelina Jolie is really good at disguises. Like, really, really good at it. So good that she managed to disguise herself as Jennifer Garner in this new poster for July 23’s Salt. (Eat your heart out, Rollin Hand.) Who is Salt? And where is she? The CIA will never find her — unless they happen to walk by Daredevil at the video store. What’s a video store?

Marvel releases first official image of 'Thor': Better than Vincent D'Onofrio's version?

thorsTo the left, see the first official image from Marvel’s 2011 Thor flick, starring George Kirk (a.k.a. Chris Hemsworth). And right below that, see Vincent D’Onofrio’s Thor from 1987’s Adventures in Babysitting. And now, let us begin the battle of the Thors: Whose do you like better at first glance? I’m going to go with D’Onofrio’s, because I’ll always side with the unhinged superhero with access to a tire iron. (Plus, he wears a baseball cap. Fun!)

New 'Sex and the City 2' poster: Now with more cast members!

(Anyone else like Kim Cattrall’s homage to Mannequin?)

Exclusive: New 'Scream 4' poster, plus an interview with director Wes Craven

It’s been 10 years since his last appearance in Scream 3, but Ghostface is back for more, as is the original Scream team of director Wes Craven, screenwriter Kevin Williamson (The Vampire Diaries), and the acting trio of Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette. Dimension Films gave EW.com the first look at the final teaser poster for Scream 4, which will hit theaters April 15, 2011. Horror movie maestro Craven, who’ll start shooting the new sequel this June, kindly set aside a few minutes to chat about the fourth entry in his memorably meta series.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: So how did Scream 4 come together?
WES CRAVEN: Bob Weinstein [the head of Dimension Films] felt that 10 years was enough of a wait. He felt it was time to give the original three films their due, so he called Kevin Williamson, who started coming up with ideas. For some years, Kevin had the notion of the general course of the next three movies. There was a point where Bob came to me and said, “We want to start showing you pages — do you want to do it?” And off we went.

Did you have any trepidation about revisiting the series so many years down the road?
No, I’m fascinated by what this movie is. I can’t think of another film that has not only a true trilogy, where you’re following a single central character over three pictures, but has the complexity to the story and other characters that also have continued along. And then 10 years later, to come back to those same characters and same actors, and continue that story in a way that’s totally organic. It’s kind of unprecedented. READ FULL STORY

'Buried' poster: Big chill, leeetle Ryan Reynolds

buried-posterWhat is the new teaser poster for Buried, the movie that stars Ryan Reynolds as a contract driver in Iraq who’s buried alive in a coffin with no memory of how he got there, saying?

A) Ryan Reynolds won’t open a movie on his own — especially if he’s not shirtless — so don’t worry about featuring him prominently

B) It’s the universal fear of being buried alive that will sell this movie, and this is the best way to convey that terror

C) All of the above

'A Nightmare on Elm Street' offers terrifying 'motion poster.' Can you handle the Screech?

Do you feel like FREAKING SOMEONE OUT right now? Insert ear plugs, then treat household/office pests who have the misfortune of floating past your desk to this ridiculous “motion poster” for A Nightmare on Elm Street (out April 30) over at Trailer Addict. It’s just a few seconds long, but the “metal claws on glass” sound effect can remain embedded in that sorry soul’s awareness all night. I’ve never been more excited for Michael Slezak to drop by in my life.

Rumpelstiltskin stars in 'Shrek' poster: Who does he look like to you?

shrek4You know what’s better than a parfait? Knowing the release of Shrek Forever After is just a little more than a month away. And because the film is headed to our multiplexes May 21, Dreamworks has begun rolling out images from the flick to tease our ogre-loving selves. (Well, my self actually loves the Gingerbread Man more, but you get my point.)

The fire-topped character in this poster is Rumpelstiltskin, the Brothers Grimm character who hated the process of adoption, so decided to exchange his straw-spun gold for the king’s daughter’s first-born. I’m guessing the reason his hair is so big is because it holds the knowledge of how to spell his name without spell-check. But who do you think he looks like? One of my editors says Yahoo Serious, but I think he looks more like one of the Troll dolls that’s currently living next to a stack of naked Barbies in a crate in my garage at home. All he’s missing is a belly jewel!
