'Dancing With the Stars': Backtrack Maks says, 'I have nothing to apologize for' -- VIDEO

On Monday’s Dancing With the Stars, hot-headed pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy lashed out at the judges’ harsh criticism, telling judge Len Goodman to “get out” of the ballroom biz and claiming, “This is my show, you know. I helped make it what it is.” He apologized on Tuesday night’s results show, even after Goodman called him “Mad Maks the Thunderdome” that morning on Access Hollywood.

This morning, Chmerkovskiy reverted to his original attitude as he told Good Morning America‘s Robin Roberts he has no regrets. “The last time I apologized was to my grandma when she was dying,” he said stoically. He took particular issue with the judges’ tendency to make snarky comments for laughs. He concluded, “I have nothing to apologize for to Len, certainly not to Carrie Ann [Inaba]. She can make all the faces that she wants.” Watch Maks tell his side of the story and spill about his fellow pros’ reactions to his comments (we’re lookin’ at you, Derek Hough!) after the jump. Harry Belafonte meditating, not sleeping, during morning interview, says rep

Between penning his memoir My Song, serving as the subject for the documentary Sing Your Song, and speaking out for Occupy Wall Street, sometimes a man just needs to sleep. Harry Belafonte was scheduled to appear via satellite on a Bakersfield, Calif., morning news program Friday, but the 84-year-old “King of Calypso” dozed off before the interview even began. Seeing that Belafonte was out for the count, the anchor explained that he was “taking a little nap.” Update: Belafonte’s rep Ken Sunshine has issued a statement that the singer was meditating and couldn’t hear the anchor’s prompt due to a “technical glitch” with his earpiece. See the full statement after the jump.

Kim Kardashian renews her wedding vows on 'Ellen,' and it's actually kinda sweet: Watch!

If you’re not planning on watching the TWO-NIGHT Kim Kardashian wedding special (All Right Reserved, E! Television Productions) that begins this Sunday, at least watch Kardashian renew her vows with husband of five weeks Kris Humphries on today’s Ellen DeGeneres Show. The vows DeGeneres wrote are hilarious, and, if you’re someone who’s never bothered to listen to Humphries speak, you might be surprised to find him charming and sweet. (He actually seemed moved hearing Kim start to say her fake vows — it’s like he’s actually in love!). Also, it’s fun to diagnose Kim’s short-term memory problem.  READ FULL STORY

Herman Cain grilled by the ladies of 'The View' on N-word, gay rights, and economy -- VIDEO

Conservative presidential hopeful Herman Cain’s appearance this morning on The View was far less uncomfortable than the hosts’ discussion yesterday about the use of the N-word when discussing the West Texas hunting camp used by Gov. Rick Perry that used to be known as “[N-word]head.” Watch that here if you missed it. Perry claims the name, written on a rock at the gate, was changed and painted out in 1983 or 1984, soon after Perry’s father joined the lease. “I still stand by my statement that it was insensitive for it to be there up until 1983,” Cain said on The View. “And the statement that has been issued by Gov. Perry’s campaign, I accept that. I do not believe that that represents how Gov. Rick Perry feels about black people in America. It was insensitive to leave it there as long as they left it.”  READ FULL STORY

Marc Anthony to ABC: 'I'll always love Jennifer'

Marc Anthony denied accusations that his infidelity broke up his marriage with Jennifer Lopez in a Nightline interview that was teased on this morning’s Good Morning America. So what really happened? “I’ll tell you it wasn’t some sensationalistic happening,” Anthony told John Quinones. “It was a realization on both our parts. So, it wasn’t shocking. These things happen.”

Anthony told Quinones that he was finally breaking his silence because “he’s fed up with the lies and misinformation about what’s led to his breakup,” but the interview also seemed to serve as a promotional vehicle for his upcoming projects, a new album, his Kohl’s fashion line, and his upcoming Latin talent show co-starring his ex. “I’ll always love Jennifer,” Anthony said. “She knows that.” Take a look. Alexander Skarsgard to Regis and Kelly: 'Let's get naked!'

True Blood‘s Alexander Skarsgard paid a visit to Live! with Regis and Kelly this morning, and Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa were appropriately giddy in the presence of the man who plays Gelman’s favorite character on TV. (Pause while you process that.) They hit the standard talking points — he grew up as a child actor in an acting family, he was in the Swedish military, he doesn’t have a problem with nudity. But it was interesting to hear him articulate why he quit acting at the age of 13: “I didn’t like the attention. I didn’t know who I was, so to hear people on TV or on the radio, in newspapers, magazines talking about me and who I was and what I like was kind of confusing.” Watch the clip below. Bachelorette Ashley Hebert and her chosen one, J.P. Rosenbaum, visited Good Morning America earlier today to confirm that they will never be able to sit more than an inch apart ever again for fear that someone will think their relationship won’t last. Watch the interview below. J.P. says Ashley is going to finish school at Penn, move to New York, find a place to live with him, get a job, and, once they’re settled, they’ll talk about having a wedding as early as fall 2012. Dominique Strauss-Kahn accuser goes public

The 32-year-old New York City hotel maid who accused French politician Dominique Strauss-Kahn of sexual assault is not backing down, even though prosecutors were forced to release the former International Monetary Fund chief after her version of events was called into question. Nafissatou Diallo is now going public, telling her story to Newsweek magazine and ABC’s Good Morning America, and planning to file a civil suit. “I want justice,” she tells GMA‘s Robin Roberts. “I want him to go to jail.”

In an interview that will air tomorrow morning, Diallo, an immigrant from Guinea, west Africa, said she walked in on a naked Strauss-Kahn when she entered to clean his room May 14. “I was like, I’m so sorry. I turned my head. He come to me and grab by breasts. ‘No, you don’t have to be sorry.’ I said, ‘Stop sir, I don’t want to lose my job.’” Watch the clip below. READ FULL STORY

On Meredith Vieira's last day, 'Today' staffers promise her they won't stop believin'

When the Today team finally said goodbye to co-anchor Meredith Vieira this morning while wearing custom “We Heart Meredith” t-shirts, there wasn’t a dry eye in or around Rockefeller Plaza. But before the last tearful tributes began, viewers were treated to a two-hour Viva Vieira sendoff that included plenty of highlight montages (remember when Miss Piggy questioned whether Meredith had the chops for the job?), commendations from the likes of Jack Black and Jay Leno, a special performance by Carole King (she sang “You’ve Got a Friend,” naturally), and a choreographed lipsynch to a certain Journey classic. Michael Sheen performs dramatic reading of 'Twilight' fanfiction: Watch!

Oh, Michael Sheen. As if that shot of you gazing lovingly at your Midnight in Paris co-star Rachel McAdams as she fixed your tie on the red carpet at Cannes didn’t make us love you, you had to go and perform a dramatic reading of a piece of Twilight fanfiction on VH1′s s Big Morning Buzz Live with total commitment. Honestly, I wasn’t sure if it was me or the host sighing when he got to the part about handmaiden Isabella not knowing where to hold on to Sir Edward as they rode together on his steed. Sheen even does Isabella’s voice. Bravo, sir. Bravo. Watch the clip below. [Best Week EverREAD FULL STORY
