Mariah Carey directs husband Nick Cannon in hilarious 'Mean Girls' re-enactment -- VIDEO

mariah-carey-nick-cannon.jpg

It’s not a huge surprise that superstar Mariah Carey would be a fan of Mean Girls, because she’s so fetch and knows exactly the right day to wear pink.

To celebrate the teen comedy classic’s 10th anniversary, Carey and her husband Nick Cannon re-created the infamous cafeteria scene, in which queen bee Regina George (as played by Carey) meets new girl Cady Heron (played by Nick, of course) for the first time. Should Rachel McAdams and Lindsay Lohan be honored or horrified by the tribute? Compare the two scenes below and decide for yourself: READ FULL STORY

The music for “O Holy Night” was composed in 1847 and set to the French poem “Minuit, chrétiens” (opera singer Enrico Caruso recorded the French version in 1916). The lyrics we know today were written by a Unitarian minister based on the French text.

Producer David Foster ushered the song into pop music with his 1993 rendition for Michael Crawford, which might explain why our six favorites are from 1994 until now. Listen to all six (plus a bonus!) and make your pick. Yonder breaks a new and glorious vote!

Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj say goodbye to 'American Idol' -- DRAMATIZATION

Now that well-intentioned ramble-monster Mariah Carey and professional cotton-candy-cloud of artifice Nicki Minaj have both been released from American Idol‘s sequined shackles, it was clearly time to revisit the video for Mimi and Nicki’s classic 2010 collaboration “Up Out My Face.” (you can watch the original below). Only then could we better imagine their reactions to being released from the painful prison of having to sit and look pretty for millions of dollars….

Who should judge 'American Idol'?

We all should, really, for being so LAME. As rumored this week, Idol may shake up its entire judging panel next season in an effort to boost ratings. It’s getting beaten in the adult demo by repeats of The Big Bang Theory and a fresh-from-the-swamp ep of Duck Dynasty. Oof. Does the show even matter anymore? It’s, like, way existential. That is so fetch: Tina Fey wants Mariah Carey for 'Mean Girls' musical -- We cast other characters

Mean-Girls_510x317.jpg

While talking to E! Online on the red carpet at the SAG Awards, Tina Fey mentioned that she thought Mariah Carey could star in her Mean Girls musical. (She told EW of her plans to turn her hit film into a musical back in our September cover story.)

“Maybe she can play Amy Poehler’s part,” Fey joked, after discussing Mariah’s knowledge of the film.

Mariah Carey as Mrs. George? She certainly has the singing voice for the role. But who else would we cast in our perfect production of Mean Girls? READ FULL STORY

'American Idol': Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey wage shade-throwing war in Baton Rouge

It’s hard to pick a winner here — both grown women reached such stunning levels of immaturity throughout tonight’s Baton Rouge auditions episode. I’m going with Mariah, for at least having the decency to direct her shade at her target of loathing with a tremendous side-eye, while Nicki opted to draw the contestant into her ongoing epic battle to take down one of the top-selling female artists in history. Subtlety is everything. READ FULL STORY

'American Idol': Nicki Minaj-Mariah Carey brawl sparked by disagreement over 'country thing'

After weeks of breathless, pearl-clutching promotion for the infamous Nicki Minaj vs. Mariah Carey fight, tonight’s American Idol revealed what prompted Minaj’s freakout in the first place. The Charlotte auditions episode featured a somewhat rational debate (prompted by Minaj) on whether a contestant should feel “forced” to “do the country thing,” and then we saw Minaj determinedly stomping off the set after complaining that “Maybe I should get off the f—ing panel.”

What we didn’t see, of course, was a single second of Minaj’s cringe-inducing motormouth-y rant captured in October’s buzz-magnet handheld video. In fact, it’s likely the “fight” we saw tonight had no real linear connection with the leaked footage, which makes the over-promotion even more obnoxious. Fox chose to save face — including any of that leaked footage on-air would be a huge turnoff, and Minaj has enough detractors as it is. READ FULL STORY
