Lindsay Lohan will star on London's West End in 'Speed-the-Plow'

lindsay-lohan-02.jpg

Producers announced Thursday that Lindsay Lohan will star in the West End production of David Mamet’s Speed-the-Plow. In the Hollywood satire, she’ll be playing Karen, an ambitious and seductive secretary, in a story about two film producers trying to close a big deal. Madonna famously played the role in the 1988 original New York show.

The play, directed by Lindsay Posner, will open Oct. 2 and run to Nov. 29 at the Playhouse Theatre in London. Lohan’s most recent film work was 2013’s The Canyons, and her tumultuous OWN reality show, Lindsay, aired this past spring. READ FULL STORY

'Mean Girls' 8-Bit: That's so fetch -- VIDEO

mean-girls-game.jpg

Mean Girls has been “gamified.” In honor of the film’s 10th anniversary (I feel old), Cinefix has presented the classic tale of high school queen bees and wannabes in the form of an 8-bit video game, created by David Dutton with music by Henry Dutton.

Follow Cady around as she tries to navigate her way through her new school, collecting inventory (map to the school, pink shirt, Kevin G.’s business card, protein bars, etc.) and making friends throughout, perhaps even moving up a level to become a Plastic (shut up!). READ FULL STORY

James Franco wrote a short story about Lindsay Lohan

They say to write what you know, and that’s exactly what James Franco is doing — though he’s not using the word in the biblical sense. Because, in his latest short story, Franco wants to make one thing clear: He did not have sexual relations with Lindsay Lohan. Well, probably.

This whole “did they or didn’t they?” thing (which, yes, everyone should be exhausted by) started when somebody stole the “Sex List” Lindsay Lohan wrote in rehab. For the record, Lohan didn’t confirm that the list contained previous paramours — only that she wrote it. Perhaps it was actually a list of people Lindsay thought were friends, but can’t stand any longer?

Anyway, after the list’s release, Franco went on Howard Stern and said that while he and the actress used to be friendly, they never had sex — even though she totally wanted to. According to Franco, he was a Good Guy who could tell she wasn’t okay, so he wouldn’t let their relationship get physical. (He did, however, write poetry about Lohan that was published in a collection called Directing Herbert White this spring.) The End.

Of course that’s not really the end. Franco’s latest Good Guy move is penning a short story focused on Lohan called “Bungalow 89.” The piece, published in Vice, combines pretension and overwhelming sadness: “Once upon a time a guy, a Hollywood guy, read some Salinger to a young woman who hadn’t read him before. Let’s call this girl Lindsay. She was a Hollywood girl, but a damaged one.” READ FULL STORY

James Franco didn't have sex with Lindsay Lohan, says James Franco

And now for a story in which there are no winners.

When James Franco went on Howard Stern’s radio show Wednesday, Stern asked him whether he ever had sex with Lindsay Lohan. (After all, Franco’s name did appear on Lohan’s alleged “sex list.”) First of all: Gross. To everything about this. But! According to Franco, who sounded pretty upset to even discuss this, the two made out but never actually slept together.

Did the conversation end there? It most certainly did not. “I don’t know what to say,” Franco said. “We were at this hotel during a very dark period of her history. It seemed pretty damn clear that she liked me. …I’d come home late to the hotel and she’d come find me. I knew which room she was in and I’d see through the window like, ‘Oh there’s another party over at Lindsay’s,’ …and she would come out to the pool area and find me. It’s in the poem: she even broke into my room one time because she was so at home there, I guess they just gave her the key. And so 3 in the morning, I was sleeping on the couch, and I open my eyes, and there’s Lindsay in my room at 3 am. And it’s like, okay, what do I do now. [laughs]…I tell about this in the poem. It sounds so nerdy…. I read her a story….I will swear on my mother’s life I didn’t have sex with her.” READ FULL STORY

Lindsay Lohan says 'sex list' is real, but there's an unfortunate reason it's public -- VIDEO

Another sad chapter in the saga of Lindsay Lohan went down when the actress stopped by Watch What Happens Live Thursday night.

Ostensibly there to promote Lindsay, which concludes its run this Sunday, Andy Cohen wasted no time playing one of the show’s most popular games with the actress — Plead the Fifth, where the guest is asked three dish-y questions and allowed to “plead the fifth” on only one. And naturally, Cohen used this opportunity to ask Lohan about the alleged “sex list” that’s been making the rounds in the tabloids. His exact question for her: “Recently, an alleged list of your alleged former conquests was leaked or published. A few of the names on the list were Ashton Kutcher, Orlando Bloom, Zac Efron, James Franco, and Justin Timberlake. Will you confirm that two of those names are [accurate]?” READ FULL STORY

Lindsay Lohan will appear on 'Watch What Happens Live'. Let's plan the games!

For a very specific demographic, the ultimate news was just announced: Lindsay Lohan will appear on Watch What Happens Live! The episode will air next Thursday, April 17, EW has confirmed.

“This one is a long time coming. We love Lindsay and plan to celebrate the s@%# out of her!” host/executive producer Andy Cohen told E!.

Fans of the show know this has the potential to be quite the memorable episode. Not only is the live program proudly booze-soaked (a tradition they will obviously (right?) forgo for the evening), but the program’s cheeky charm thrives on Cohen asking the guests just-this-side-of-inappropriate questions. Lohan, for all her faults, has always proven herself adept on the talk show circuit, reliably ready with a cigarette smoke-assisted throaty laugh and a charming story. (Just witness her on the Tonight Show.) If she shows up with gossip, the episode will be can’t-miss. Just think of the Ooooooooprah intel! READ FULL STORY

Lindsay Lohan and David Letterman call Oprah on 'Late Show' -- VIDEO

David Letterman is really bad at prank calling.

Lindsay Lohan went on The Late Show, which airs Wednesday night,  and proposed — nay, begged – Letterman to call Oprah on-air. Letterman obliged, calling Oprah and pretending (very unconvincingly) to be Lohan’s secretary until Oprah asked, for the second time, “Who is this?” and he revealed himself.

Lindsay Lohan on 'Ellen': Actress talks frankly about Oprah and rehab -- VIDEO

Ellen DeGeneres usually keeps things light on her daytime talk show. But when Lindsay Lohan stops by on Monday, don’t expect many laughs.

In two clips previewing her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the conversation is much more serious than the typically playful chats on the daytime talker. That’s because Lohan’s latest project is the OWN docu-series Lindsay, which chronicles her post-rehab life in New York.

Lohan looks healthy, yet somewhat uncomfortable when the topics veer from the things that appear to be keeping her happy and sober: work and family. The exchange even turns somewhat confrontational at one point, when DeGeneres, quoting the actress, ask if she feels she’s not angry anymore. Watch it below:

Lindsay Lohan is really upset about 'How I Met Your Mother' ending -- VIDEO

Lindsay-Lohan.jpg

Lindsay Lohan is just like you! (No, she’s not.)

But, like you, she’s apparently really upset about How I Met Your Mother ending. During an appearance on Billy Eichner’s show, Billy on the Street, Wednesday night, the duo dealt with their HIMYM feelings the way anyone would: By taking sledgehammers to a car decked out with decals of the How I Met Your Mother cast. “What am I supposed to do with my Monday nights now?” Eichner said at a normal volume screamed.

Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs defend Lindsay Lohan's '2 Broke Girls' performance

So it turns out all of those rumors about Lindsay Lohan being a nightmare to work with on the set of 2 Broke Girls were just that — rumors.

Stars Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs took to Twitter on Friday to refute claims that guest star Lohan was a disaster and repeatedly screwed up her lines during a taping on Wednesday. The reports stemmed from an unimpressed witness who claimed: ”[We, the audience members] are very familiar with every single one of Lindsay Lohan’s lines and can repeat them all verbatim to you because we heard them so many times last night. There is not a member of the audience who couldn’t do a better job than Lindsay Lohan did last night.”
