'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay' cast takes a trip to Cannes -- PHOTOS

Filming a dystopian survival story is no picnic. So the cast of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay took a little vacay from shooting in Paris to get in some sun — and photo ops — at the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday.

Stars Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Sam Claflin, Julianne Moore, Donald Sutherland, and director Francis Lawrence shed the somber battle gear for some beachside glamour. Take a look: READ FULL STORY

'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay' set photos: Jennifer Lawrence sports a comforter cape

The latest spring trend is here, and Jennifer Lawrence is rockin’ it: Comforter-like hooded capes.

Buzzfeed got ahold of some photos from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay set, featuring Lawrence and co-star Liam Hemsworth decked out in intense coats to hide their costumes. Cressida (Natalie Dormer) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) also appear in the photos; sadly, they’re not donning the ominous/hilarious capes. 'Reaping Ball': A 'Hunger Games' parody of 'Wrecking Ball' we didn't know we needed until now

Catching Fire fever burns strong, this time incorporating that other “girl on fire” — Miley Cyrus. Posted by YouTube user twentyfirstrecords, “Reaping Ball” is a hilarious — and super-catchy — Hunger Games parody video set to the tune of Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball.”

Created by parody band The Arena, the song is just the latest Hunger Games-inspired single. Last year, The Arena debuted “We Found Love (In the Hunger Games) – Peeta vs. Rihanna Remix.” Not to leave Team Gale without a radio-worthy theme song, this year’s track is sung from Gale’s perspective, pining for Katniss, who is in a “complicated” relationship with Peeta. “Gale” croons such perfect lines as “We don’t have to live this way,/ You’re my Mockingjay./ Let’s win this one for Rue.”

What makes the “Wrecking Ball” re-work even more interesting is that Liam Hemsworth, who plays Gale in the films, was engaged to Miley Cyrus, who may or may not have recorded the breakup song about her relationship with the Aussie actor. So that means it’s a parody video from the perspective of the character, played by the actor the original song might be about. So many layers!

'Thor: The Dark World' premieres in Hollywood to screaming crowd

The gods of fruitfulness rained down upon the sons of Asgard — good and evil — as buzz from overseas ticket sales lit the Thor: The Dark World premiere afire with excitement. The movie comes out Friday, but the sequel to the 2011 hit has already scored over $100 million in foreign sales a week before its domestic release. Slam!

The god of thunder, a.k.a. Chris Hemsworth, was treated no less than a deity to screaming fans who lined Hollywood Boulevard Monday evening in the drizzle to catch a glimpse of the superhero heartthrob. He showed up rocking a crisp gray suit, although a bit intimidated by his own face and red cape in a 20-foot poster on the Hollywood walk-of-fame.

Miley Cyrus on Liam Hemsworth: 'I'm just letting that chapter kind of close' -- VIDEO

Miley Cyrus is perfectly happy being Single Miley, the singer told Ellen DeGeneres on Friday’s The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Cyrus and actor Liam Hemsworth called off their engagement in mid-September. DeGeneres recalled, “So the last time you were here, I threw you an engagement party.”

“Do you want your money back?” joked Cyrus, as clips of male strippers cavorting around her on a November 2012 episode were shown. DeGeneres pointed to the screen and said, “You enjoyed it.”

The host’s penchant for lighthearted banter continued with Cyrus revealing she’s in good spirits following the end of her relationship.

DeGeneres asked, “Is that an awkward thing that all this attention is going on and you’re not with him anymore?”

“It’s not really as awkward ’cause I’m living it and I think people spend more time actually thinking about that than I really do, because I just believe that when a chapter is done, you have to close it and start that new one, and that’s kind of where I am right now,” Cyrus said. READ FULL STORY

Josh Hutcherson kinda wants Katniss, Peeta, and Gale to have a threesome

Well. Okay, then!

Context: The Hunger Games: Catching Fire star Josh Hutcherson covers gay and lesbian lifestyle magazine Out‘s November issue. Naturally, sexuality comes up early and often in his accompanying interview: “I would  probably list myself as mostly straight,” Hutcherson says in a quote included in the story’s very first paragraph. He goes on to clarify what he means by saying, “Maybe I could say right now I’m 100% straight,” he says. “But who knows? In a f—ing year, I could meet a guy and be like, Whoa, I’m attracted to this person.”

Okay, so the Hutch is a modern guy — flexible about what sexual orientation means, every bit honest and open as his costar, Internet dream BFF Jennifer Lawrence. Then comes the part about the threesome:

Celebs stumble over their words -- for a good cause -- at HFPA luncheon

Acronym mix-ups and stumbles over teleprompter intros were the comic relief of Tuesday’s Hollywood Foreign Press Association luncheon, where a host of bold-faced names from film and TV gathered to accept grants for various arts-related philanthropic organizations.

“If anything’s been made clear to me today, it’s definitely the fact that I don’t think a single actor in Hollywood can read,” Jonah Hill joked while accepting a grant for four Los Angeles film organizations, including American Cinematheque and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Hill — who was one of the few who didn’t stumble over his speech – saved the day after a slew of screw ups from the likes of Dermot Mulroney and Piper Perabo, Olivia Wilde, Julie Delpy, and Demian Bichir — who mispronounced the word Chicano while introducing a grant for various L.A. educational institutions. “How can you screw that up?” the event’s emcee Eva Longoria ribbed. “It’s Chicano Studies! You’re Mexican!”

But it was all in good fun. Longoria was quick to point out that at this event — unlike the famously bacchanalian bash the organization puts on in January each year, the Golden Globes — “Nobody’s drunk, there are typos in the teleprompter!”

Slurred words aside, the event brought together stars from all walks of Hollywood, from Vince Vaughn to Liam Hemsworth to 1950s star Marcia Hunt, at the Beverly Hilton to celebrate some of their favorite causes.

According to Snoop Lion, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are over -- VIDEO

The gods of love giveth (maybe), and the gods of love taketh away (also maybe).

Just when we were finally recovering from the news of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez’s potential reunion, Snoop Lion has rocked our worlds by insinuating that professional twerker Miley Cyrus and her fiance Liam Hemsworth are officially kaput.

The name-changing rapper recently collaborated with Cyrus on “Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,” a single Snoop says is about “change, turnaround, and you know, just going through things.” What kind of things, specifically? “I can’t speak for her, you know what I’m saying, but I know that she has a relationship that no longer exists,” he told HuffPost Live yesterday. “I know she’s probably in a transformation change with her life, her music [and] her career.”
