Robert Pattinson, Jon Stewart talk about Kristen Stewart scandal and eat ice cream on 'Daily Show'

will say about…the Olympics.”

(Not so) shockingly, the duo didn’t talk about the London Games, but the second Pattinson came out, Stewart dove right in to Awkwardville. After a purposely long pause, Stewart asked, “What have you been up to?” and handed Pattinson some ice cream. Stewart then announced, “We’re just a couple of gals talking….tell me everything!”

A nervous-looking Pattinson didn’t really answer the question, but after being asked again if he was alright, dove into a bit where he shared that he didn’t have a publicist, and that was the real issue.  “My biggest problem in my life is that I’m cheap. I didn’t hire a publicist. Every awkward interview, normally actors get these things scripted… I’m going to hire a publicist,” he said with a laugh. Watch the clip below. READ FULL STORY

This Week's Cover: 'Twilight' Exclusive -- Director Bill Condon on the scandal. Plus: Fall movie preview!

1220-1221ewcover

It’s been — let’s just say —an eventful couple of weeks for Team Twilight. Bella and Edward may find eternal, immortal bliss in Breaking Dawn — Part 2 (out Nov. 16), but costars and (only recently confirmed) couple Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are having a much harder time since incriminating photographs of Stewart and her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders, surfaced late last month. “The fact is, these are actors playing parts, and maybe it’s not such a bad thing that people be reminded of that,” Bill Condon tells EW. “Both of these actors gave heart and soul to the Twilight movies, not only during shooting, but also by navigating so graciously the whole life-in-a-fishbowl aspect of the phenomenon. Above all they have always shown great respect for the fans who made these movies such a success. Now it’s time that some of that respect be returned to them.”

Will Ferrell can't get over Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's breakup -- VIDEO

Will Ferrell is in a glass case of emotion, again! The Campaign star was looking uncharacteristically glum last night on Conan — and when pressed, Ferrell admitted that he’s all busted up about KStew and RPattz’s earth-shattering breakup. “I don’t know if there was anything I could have done to prevent it!” he sobbed, adding, “IT’S NOT GONNA BE FINE AT ALL! Never gonna be fine! What they had was so special, you don’t even know!”

Bottom line: If you enjoy watching Will Ferrell yell (and who doesn’t?), you’ll like this video. Especially around 1:29, when Conan O’Brien struggles mightily not to lose it on camera.

Kristen Stewart's apology to Robert Pattinson: An EW-xistential crisis

If you haven’t been on the Internet today, you might not know that Kristen Stewart cheated on her boyfriend/co-star Robert Pattinson with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders (who is 19 years older than Stewart, and married with two kids). Stewart promptly apologized for her transgression, issuing a statement to People: “I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.” (UPDATE: Sanders also issued an apology to People.)

The only way we at EW.com could deal with such devastating news is to talk about it. So read a (heavily edited) version of our chat after our heads exploded from all the craziness.

Kristen Stewart, Justin Bieber, and Snooki read mean tweets about themselves -- VIDEO

Jimmy Kimmel Live! has become a factory for laugh-out-loud segments that have fun at guests’ expenses. Last night was no different. Celebrities including Kristen Stewart, Justin Bieber, and Snooki read nasty tweets about themselves out loud to the camera.

While some of the tweets targeted stars’ careers — James Van Der Beek’s show Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 and Katy Perry’s movie Katy Perry: Part of Me — the funniest ones were personal attacks. Larry King look repulsed as he read, ”Did you know that if you skinned Larry King & ironed out his leather, you could make enough coats to give 1 to every poor child in America?”

Most of the celebs took the insults in stride, but Danny McBride couldn’t quite suppress his anger.

Watch the video below (the segment starts halfway through the clip).

Taylor Swift tops Forbes' 'Highest-Paid Celebs Under 30' list

Want to feel like an underachiever?

Forbes magazine has released its annual list of the richest entertainers under 30. And it’s no surprise that Taylor Swift wins something yet again, raking in over $57 million from May 2011 to May 2012. The 22-year-old had the Speak Now world tour during that time, which Forbes said brought in a cool $1 million a night.

Last year’s $90 million Monster winner Lady Gaga came in fourth this year, earning $52 million. Forbes attributes the drop to the fact that she didn’t tour during the time frame, and notes that she’s currently selling out shows in Eastern Europe and they expect a jump next year. (Although, $52 million is not exactly a failure.) READ FULL STORY

Long live the new queen! Kristen Stewart crowned highest-paid actress in Hollywood

Kristen Stewart is Hollywood’s highest-paid actress, according to a Forbes magazine study of the industry in the last year. The 22-year-old star of the Twilight films bolstered her bank account with her role in last month’s action film Snow White and the Huntsman. All together, Stewart earned $34.5 million, half a million more than Cameron Diaz, who cleaned up when Bad Teacher performed well at the box office. Sandra Bullock and Angelina Jolie rounded out the $20 million club, and Stewart’s Snow White costar Charlize Theron ranked fifth with $18 million.

Overall, the list’s names were familiar, with Kristen Wiig the only newcomer from last year’s top 10 — replacing Reese Witherspoon. Click below for the entire list: READ FULL STORY

Red Carpet Watch: Whose 'Snow White' gown was the fairest?

We saw London, we saw France, we saw Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart in strikingly sheer gowns at the U.K. premiere of Snow White and The Huntsman.
