'Twilight' memories: 'New Moon' rising

With The Twilight Saga coming to an end, we’re reliving our favorite memories from the first four films. New Moon is up!

How many times I saw it in theaters: 2

Surprisingly, a dude I liked wanted to go — so we went the first Sunday it was out.  I saw it the next week with a few girlfriends and one unfortunate guy who happened to be staying with me.

How many times I’ve seen it since: 1

My obsession from the first film wore off by this time. But after re-watching it recently, I realized I liked it better than I remembered.

'Twilight' memories: The saga begins

With The Twilight Saga coming to an end, let’s relive our favorite memories from the first four films. I’ll start with mine from Twilight.

How many times I saw it in theaters: 4

Once on opening day with friends, then again by myself two days later. The next Wednesday, I told my then-boyfriend I had to work late so he wouldn’t make fun of me and went to see it in secret. Finally, my friend from my first showing wanted to see it one more time. And I happily went with her.

'Breaking Dawg'? The 'Twilight' parody you've been waiting for is here -- VIDEO

If you’ve been watching The Twilight Saga all these years and thinking, “This would be so much better if the characters were portrayed by dogs,” then today’s your lucky day! Behold: A nearly shot-for-shot recreation of the Breaking Dawn — Part 2 trailer with a pack of adorable pooches. Check it out below.

Kristen Stewart talks about her 'Breaking Dawn' Chucky baby on 'Jimmy Fallon' -- VIDEO

Kristen Stewart — sporting a retro Brigitte Bardot look — stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night as part of her seemingly never-ending Breaking Dawn: Part 2 promotional tour. The usually stiff actress seemed at ease with Fallon (as opposed to her awkward chat with Jay Leno last week) while cracking jokes about baby Renesmee, Bella and Edward’s daughter in the film.

To capture the rapid growth of half-vampire-half-human Renesmee, director Bill Condon used a CGI baby in the film that Stewart likened to Chucky. “It’s got a lot of hair and sticky fingers,”  she said. Anytime Condon brought in an actual baby to play the role, Stewart said the cast was overjoyed. “Occasionally we did have a real baby and it was so clear. It was like reflected in everyone’s faces. The entire room would light up and then they would be like, okay let’s just try the digital one, let’s try the Chucky doll.” Can you say electronic baby drama?

Robert Pattinson responds to KStew question: 'Who is actually asking? Is it in your contract?' -- VIDEO

Oh, Robert Pattinson, you gleeful little media troll! It’s always fun when RPattz really lets loose during an on-camera interview — his actual personality seems so different from the brooding, dour hunks he usually plays onscreen. While watching the following clip from The Today Show, you’ll feel a little bad for Savannah Guthrie, who’s just trying to do her job — but you’ll also find it tough not to grin at Pattinson’s cheeky comments. To wit:

On whether it’s awkward to watch a love scene between Kristen Stewart and himself: [Pattinson looks down at his pants, starts brushing them off.] “What have I got all over my legs? I feel like I’ve just fallen in some mud!” He skillfully manages to avoid answering the question altogether.

On the Twilight franchise drawing to a close: “Yeah, it’s the end of my youth. It’s just a slow death from now on.”

Kristen Stewart plays coy about Robert Pattinson relationship -- VIDEO

Are Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson back together or what? If so, we’ve got living confirmation that Prince concerts heal all wounds. If not, Donald Trump — who could really use a pick-me-up right about now — should be pleased.

Naturally, Stewart herself elected to dodge that question when Savannah Guthrie posed it to her on Today this morning. The inevitable query came around three minutes into a three and a half minute interview that had already covered Stewart’s ambivalent feelings about the Twilight franchise ending — “I’m okay walking away, but at the same time, I could keep it for another five [years]” — and her character’s transition from clumsy high schooler to butt-kicking vampire mama.

“Funny you mention that,” Stewart told Guthrie with practiced nonchalance when Pattinson was brought up. “I’m just going to let people watch whatever little movie they would like to think our lives are, and go for– you know. Keep ‘em guessing, I always say.”

Really, KStew? Because I thought “Dude, you slapped a fiiiiish” was what you always said. Clip below:

Robert Pattinson talks about his loud kissing on 'Jimmy Kimmel' -- VIDEO

As President Barack Obama concluded his last day of campaigning, Robert Pattinson sat down with Jimmy Kimmel last night in one of his final Twilight promotional appearances. Pattinson noted that he first learned about the president during his first promotional tour for the franchise when Obama was running for his first term in office. If only Pattinson was up for four more years as well.

The British heartthrob stayed true to his quirky talk-show persona by discussing shoes, skydiving, and loud kissing — a notable upgrade from his last Jimmy Kimmel Live! appearance in late August when he talked about Craigslist, dogging, and prostate exams.

The dapper star opened the interview by talking about his over-sized shoes. He then tucked his legs underneath him in the armchair and later sat cross-legged to distract the audience from their size. When Kimmel asked how he was able to walk in his “clown shoes,” Pattinson said the task was daunting. “I just had a little bit of vodka backstage. It is not a good combination.”

Kristen Stewart talks to Jay Leno about 'Breaking Dawn' twist ending -- VIDEO

While her sometimes-boyfriend and full-time-costar Robert Pattinson was busy chatting up Jimmy Kimmel, Stewart stopped by The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night to discuss Twilight: Breaking Dawn — Part 2.

The actress — whose awkwardness during public appearances is well-documented — seemed particularly nervous for this chat, although she shouldn’t have been. The in-studio audience was supportive, cheering for her whether she discussed fans in Tokyo or the story behind her new fragrance.

In the more entertaining second segment, Stewart dished on vampires. When Leno asked her to set up Breaking Dawn — Part 2, she explained, “Popped one out, pretty concerned with that. Me and Edward are doing quite well, people keep trying to kill my baby. But I’m now super spectacular so I can take care of that, being a vampire.” READ FULL STORY

PopWatch Planner: An election, Bond, a 'Twilight' battle in late night, and new 'Top Chef'

Soon, you can look forward to a life free of pesky presidential political ads interrupting your favorite shows – well, for the next fours years anyway. This week of course, brings the much-anticipated election, along with live Daily Show and Colbert to get you through it, the premiere of Top Chef’s new season in Seattle, and an event certainly sexier than the election — Bond, James Bond.

Have a great week!
