Justin Timberlake and Steve Carell lend a hand, and an arm, to Jimmy Fallon -- VIDEO

Two years ago, Jimmy Fallon and Will Ferrell discovered the secret to a successful skit: fake arms, duh. As if every comedian didn’t already know that, right? Well, for Fallon and Ferrell, it started when the duo relived their Canadian soap opera days on Jacob’s Patience, and Ferrell attempted to make a sandwich using mannequin arms. The result was, well, memorable:

So memorable in fact, that last night, Steve Carell and Justin Timberlake joined the cast of Jacob’s Patience as the owners of a men’s clothing store, specializing — not surprisingly — in suits and ties. Fallon, as a customer at the store, had his inseam measured, was given water to drink, and even learned how to tie a tie… all with fake arms. Watch the clips below! READ FULL STORY

Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon bring sexy back, barbershop quintet-style -- VIDEO

There’s just one thing better than four guys wearing goofy striped blazers and singing tight harmonies: Five guys wearing goofy striped blazers and singing tight harmonies, especially if one of them happens to be Justin Timberlake.

Late Night‘s Ragtime Gals can make any song sound that much classier — but their talents are particularly suited to this swoonworthy cover of “SexyBack.” Take note, college a cappella groups nationwide: this is how it’s done.

Jimmy Fallon's 'Justin Timberweek' kicks off -- VIDEO

Just can’t get enough of the Barry Gibb Talk Show? You’re in luck — all this week, the man behind Robin Gibb will be appearing with his “brother” Barry on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Though Fallon and Justin Timberlake haven’t officially broken out their Bee Gees impressions yet — and might not break them out at all, given Robin Gibb’s untimely death — the pair’s goofy impersonations of everyone from Adele to each other should be more than enough to keep you amused through Friday.

Take, for example, this first clip, in which Fallon and Timberlake trade a few off-color jokes about how they’re both sick — “We shouldn’t have made out,” Fallon says gravely — before discussing the singer’s recent return to SNL. Lessons learned: The “D–k in a Box” singing duo is actually called 2:30 a.m., Timberlake’s character in those sketches is named Raif, and nothing amuses these guys more than making weird guitar riff noises at each other.

'Saturday Night Live' host poll: Fifth time's the charm for Justin Timberlake?

justin-timberlake-snl.jpg

This past Saturday’s episode of SNL was indisputably a season highlight. But here’s a question: How much of the credit for that belongs solely to host Justin Timberlake?

Timberlake certainly seems to have a Midas effect whenever he drops by SNL. His very presence energizes the entire show, even the segments in which he doesn’t appear. Take, for example, this week’s Stefon appearance, which is the funniest the character’s been in months.

That said, an enormous number of “surprise” cameos also buoyed Timberlake’s latest Saturday Night Live turn — and when the euphoria induced by Steve Martin, Andy Samberg, Jay-Z, et al wore off, we were left with an episode that lagged mightily after Weekend Update (“The Adventures of Sober Caligula”? ), despite Timberlake’s best efforts. Arguably, then, Timberlake himself doesn’t necessarily deserve full marks for the show’s success. (I’m not necessarily making that argument; I’m just saying one could.)

Still, Timberlake shouldn’t have much trouble shooting to the top of this week’s Host Poll — especially since last week’s results prove that none of our current Mr./Ms. Saturday Night contenders has a decisive lead. READ FULL STORY

'Saturday Night Live' recap: Welcome to the Five-Timers Club, Justin Timberlake!

You guys, Justin Timberlake is onto us. Here’s how this season’s most highly anticipated SNL host began his monologue last night: “There are so many exciting things about hosting five times. You get to see old friends. You get to try new things. You get to inevitably let everyone down thanks to overly high expectations — thanks, Internet!”

But unlike poor Jennifer Lawrence, Timberlake didn’t fall victim to the perils of fervent anticipation. His show was a thrilling, joyous, cameo-stuffed affair that easily ranks among this season’s best, second only perhaps to Martin Short’s Christmas episode — even though Timberlake and SNL both lost a good amount of momentum after Weekend Update, where the show’s weakest sketches are traditionally stuffed.

Justin Timberlake hosts tonight's 'Saturday Night Live' -- talk about it here!

If you want to avoid spoilers for tonight’s episode of SNL, you might want to stop reading this post right about… now.

If you don’t want to avoid spoilers, you’ll be pleased to know that the show seems to be celebrating Timberlake’s fifth outing as host in a major way. Yesterday, Steve Martin tweeted a photo that gives a big hint about what’s in store for JT come 11:30 p.m.

Justin Timberlake's top 10 'SNL' moments -- VIDEO

On Saturday night, Justin Timberlake will be inducted into the Five-Timers Club — an elite squad of the few funny people who have hosted Saturday Night Live five times. (Technically, this is actually Timberlake’s sixth official appearance on the show; when Joshua Jackson hosted in 2000, ‘N Sync served as musical guest and also performed in a few sketches.)

The multitalented musician certainly deserves a spot alongside Christopher Walken and Tom Hanks. As he’s proved over and over again since his first hosting stint ten (!) years ago, Timberlake’s pretty much the best modern SNL host this side of Alec Baldwin — which means that narrowing down his best Saturday Night Live moments is about as tough as getting the “Barry Gibb Talk Show” theme song out of your head once it’s stuck there. (Er, sorry in advance.) Still, we managed to sift through an embarrassment of JT SNL clips somehow — and though many of them were gems, these 10 stand out.

Justin Timberlake prepares to dominate 'SNL,' starting with the promos -- VIDEO

There’s a reason expectations are so high for Justin Timberlake’s fifth outing as Saturday Night Live host: The guy is funny. Like, really funny.

If you’ve somehow forgotten just how good he is at hosting SNL, look no further than this week’s promos — which manage to pack more laughs into two minutes than entire sketches can in seven. Would that JT could steer the show every week… and run the cameras… and take care of the sound. Sigh! Check to make sure you’ve got your suit and tie, then watch the magic happen here:

Justin Timberlake stakes out his space on Instagram

While Madonna was taking selfies of her sweaty cleavage and posting them to her new-ish Instagram page this weekend, another music star was dipping his own toes into the photo-sharing site’s waters.

Yes, Justin Timberlake is now on Instagram — even though the site is owned by Facebook, archrival of Timberlake’s revamped Myspace. So far, Timberlake’s page features only classy black-and-white snapshots taken backstage at the Grammys, as well as a few photos of the artist’s retro-inspired performance itself:

Grammys 2013: Who is opening tonight and other last-minute tidbits about the show

Now that the 55th Annual Grammy Awards are hours instead of days away, here are a few last-minute tidbits and predictions…

* Who will open the show? Taylor Swift will open the show and she’ll be singing “We Are Never Ever Getting Together,” which is nominated for record of the year. There was a lot of debate about the coveted show-opening spot this year. Justin Timberlake, a favorite of Grammys executive producer Ken Ehrlich, almost usurped the spot in recent weeks, but Swift’s popularity and the less-than-torrid public response to the new Timberlake music tilted the decision back toward the 23-year-old country-pop singer, who was notified about a week ago that she would be the first voice of the night.
