Throwback Thursday: Remember 'Brotherly Love'? Who was/is the hottest Lawrence brother? -- POLL

Before we had the Hemsworth brothers, we had the Lawrence brothers. Joey, Matthew, and Andrew Lawrence taught me a lot as a young girl. By watching that family on television, I learned just exactly what “good genes” meant, and how to spell it. I also learned the importance of a good head of hair on a man (and how everyone looks hot with a little engine grease on their face). That’s right, ’90s babies, I’m talking about Brotherly Love!

Brotherly Love was a television show that only lasted from 1995 to 1997, but somehow, it has worked its way into all of my childhood memories. I was in love with “Joe” from day one. And yes, I loved him even after he cut his hair. But I remember how I watched closely as the effects of this foreign idea called “aging” worked its magic. As a small child who was still learning her times tables, this concept was fascinating to me. For example, how was Matthew suddenly getting hotter than Joey? Was he taking some magic potion? Nope, it was just aging (and years later it’s called not over-manscaping).

Brotherly Love had a simple concept: Three brothers who worked in their family garage and grew up together, and I always loved it. However, I do remember the theme song.

'Splash' react: Are you ready to walk the plank?

Here’s the thing about Splash: It doesn’t actually make any sense. And that’s a compliment — if the show made any sense, it wouldn’t be any fun.

For the uninitiated, here’s what you must know: Splash is a new ABC reality diving competition wherein 10 stars train for six weeks and then, each week thereafter, perform at least one dive for a live viewing audience, two judges, and Joey Lawrence. The judges score the dives; the audience scores the dive. All the while, synchronized swimmers practice their synchronicity before commercial breaks. And at the very tip-top of the hour, a woman walks toward the camera in a fancy dress, surrounded by photographers before — splash! — diving into the water.

Do we ever see any of the celebs actually train (under the beneficent twinkle of former Olympian Greg Louganis)? Not really. Do we ever see what the audience members score each diver? Never. Does anyone ask Joey what his co-host’s name is? Please.

Whoa! Joey Lawrence explains the origins of his 90's catchphrase

It was the catchphrase heard around the world … or at least around the Blossom community.

At the ripe age of 15, Joey Lawrence was known for two things: his swoon-worthy hair and his one-of-a-kind “whoa.” And now, more than 20 years after Blossom began, Joey has finally revealed the origin of the catchphrase in an interview with HuffPost TV. What was originally written as a typical surfer dude “whoa” was quickly handed to Lawrence as an opportunity when fans of the show didn’t find the former very funny.
