John Carter star Taylor Kitsch stopped by the Late Show With David Letterman last night and entertained Dave with a story about getting stopped by customs at an airport in the Philippines when his passport had no room left for a stamp. He was informed he was going to be sent back on the next plane to Japan, where he just flew in from, but Kitsch, who had a work visa to film the upcoming Oliver Stone film Savages, told the agent he was an actor — which the man didn’t believe. With the airport’s computers down, and the man not familiar with X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Kitsch pulled out his iPhone and played him the John Carter trailer. “He’s like, ‘That’s not you.’ I’m like, ‘What?’ He’s like, ‘You have short hair.’ And I’m like, ‘Mate, I cut it. It grows. It’s me,’” Kitsch says. Luckily, the guy liked the trailer and Kitsch got to stay. READ FULL STORY »

Grammys 2012: Who rocked the best pompadour?

If there was one red carpet trend to be found at last night’s fashionably chaotic Grammys, it was some attendees putting the actual pomp in pomp and circumstance. (If only two or three more people had brought Popes. Sorry, Nicki/Roman, but one Pope date does not a trend make.) No less than eight stars hairsprayed their best Conan O’Briens when they arrived at the Grammys rocking sky-high pompadours.

Holy Ron Swanson! First annual moustache film festival to be held in March
This spring… all hair will break loose.
The creators of Stache Pag (as in pageant) are inviting mustachioed filmmakers of all shapes and styles to participate in the world’s first film festival devoted entirely to facial hair, the 2012 Stache Film Fest.
The festival, which will be held at Port City Music Hall in Portland, Maine on March 30, is being organized by No Umbrella Media, which described itself as “a group of mustachioed men who… are constantly caressing our moustaches and daydreaming of ways to better celebrate moustaches and maximize the moustache man’s moment of expression.” And it’s no joke: the organization’s head, Nick Callanan, has been running Stache Pag for five years, where he’s seen the number of participants grow from 40 to just under 500.
“The response has been pretty incredible,” Callanan (who himself has a moustache every winter) told EW. “We’ve already gotten submissions from three continents, and the open call has only been ongoing for a few weeks. We’ve seen a good response so far – Norway, The Netherlands, Mexico, California.”
In January Callanan released a Call to Moustache Action, which features “American Moustache Institute representative and international moustache celebrity Dr. Lou Jacobs,” below: READ FULL STORY »

But you might think they’re “hottttttt.” Who knows what you like? READ FULL STORY »
The new (and improved?) Snooki: See the 'Jersey Shore' star sans makeup
How much can we ever really know or understand the enigma that is Nicole ‘Snooki‘ Polizzi? She is a best-selling author whose choice in skivvies (or, more often times than not, lack thereof) is something we’ve all unwillingly become all too familiar with and a self-proclaimed meatball whose battle cry sounds not unlike the sirens of the police cars she’s been taken away in, but the Snooks still remains one of life’s great mysteries. (Mostly of the ‘How?!’ ‘Why?!’ variety.)
And just when we thought maybe we had Snooki pegged, the lover of Jionnis and crocadillies and belching on national television surprised fans with a stunning new revelation: She actually looks like a human person. On Wednesday, Snooki tweeted a photo of herself sans makeup and the reality star received a flurry of compliments from the Internet regarding her au naturel beauty look. READ FULL STORY »
