Hear three tracks from the all-star 'Here Lies Love' remix album

The Public Theater’s thrilling production of the David Byrne/Fatboy Slim disco musical Here Lies Love—and its remarkable concept album featuring everyone from Florence Welch to Steve Earle to Cyndi Lauperdidn’t seem like they could get any more boogie-down. But the immersive disco musical about the rise and fall of Philippines power couple Imelda and Ferdinand Marcos (which earned an ‘A’ grade in its initial review by senior writer Kyle Anderson last year) is now issuing a remix album featuring these artists and more —including Tori Amos, Sia, and St. Vincent.

All proceeds from the album—which also includes the original cast recording—go directly to Gawad Kalinga, an organization dedicated to typhoon relief and ending poverty in the Philippines for 5 million families by 2024. READ FULL STORY

Yes, there will be some beach makeouts.

Hear Zach Braff and the cast album of Woody Allen's 'Bullets Over Broadway' -- FIRST LISTEN

It’s not every day that a new Broadway musical pulls its score entirely from early-century period standards — but that’s exactly what Woody Allen opted to do for the stage adaptation of his 1994 crime comedy Bullets Over Broadway.

The show is currently enjoying an open run at Broadway’s St. James Theatre, where bullets are flying, gangsters are tapping, untalented actresses are being murdered, and alcoholic leading ladies are making passes at Zach Braff.

Bullets’ original Broadway cast recording will be released digitally on June 3 and in stores on June 10, but you can get in touch with your gun moll side with EW’s exclusive first listen of the album. The 22-song track list boasts recognizable tunes like “Let’s Misbehave,” “Tain’t Nobody’s Biz-ness If I Do,” and the musical’s show-stopping, food-related anthem “The Hot Dog Song.”

Take a listen to the brand new cast album of Bullets Over Broadway below. READ FULL STORY

Listen to Fantasia and Dule Hill on three tracks of Broadway's 'After Midnight' -- EXCLUSIVE FIRST LISTEN

Tony nominations are just around the corner, and one of the titles you can bet will yield a fair amount of ‘em is After Midnight, the marvelously assembled one-act jazz revue now playing on Broadway. Since opening last fall, the musical has remained one of the most acclaimed shows of the season, and remained quite relevant due to a bright cast of rotating guest performers (recent months have seen k.d. lang, Toni Braxton, Babyface, and Vanessa Williams, the latter currently playing through May 11). 'The Bridges of Madison County' original cast recording -- EXCLUSIVE FIRST LISTEN

You wept at the book, then wept at the Meryl Streep-Clint Eastwood film, but save some more tears for the achingly lovely new cast recording for the Broadway tuner The Bridges of Madison County, composed by the prolific Jason Robert Brown (The Last Five Years, Parade), which gives listeners the unique pleasure of preserving two of the very best vocal performances of the last few years, by dynamite duo Kelli O’Hara and Steven Pasquale, whose stirring chemistry could set a cornfield ablaze. The musical — about a lonely Iowa farm wife (O’Hara), happily married but stifled, falling in love with a handsome photographer (Pasquale) blazing through town to capture the historic bridges of the title — has earned stellar reviews since opening in February (including one by senior editor Thom Geier), and the new album contains 20 tracks (including “Falling Into You” and “It All Fades Away”) in total. 'Beautiful': Listen to five tracks from the cast album of Broadway’s new Carole King musical

Broadway’s been buzzing about Beautiful, the new musical that chronicles the life of famed singer-songwriter Carole King and the songs she wrote that launched the careers of a generation.

While the show is bolstered by a star-making performance from Jessie Mueller, everyone who has seen it is raving about the music. Well, good news — like any good Broadway musical, the show plans to release an original cast album featuring the songs written by King and re-interpreted by the cast of theater veterans.

EW has a truly beautiful (sorry) first listen to five of the tracks from the upcoming album, which will be released digitally on April 1 and in stores on May 13 (you can pre-order on iTunes here).

Below, check out “Some Kind of Wonderful” (sung by Jessie Mueller, Jake Epstein and the Drifters); “Walking in the Rain” (Anika Larsen and Jarrod Spector); “You’ve Got a Friend” (Mueller, Larsen and Spector); “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” (Mueller); and of course, the titular ballad “Beautiful” (Mueller).
