Star Tours jumps to lightspeed: Exclusive video of Disney's reboot of the classic Star Wars ride

Hang on, we’re making the jump to lightspeed.

Tomorrow the all-new Star Tours—The Adventures Continue, a reimagining of the classic Star Wars-themed ride, makes its highly anticipated debut at Walt Disney World (at Disneyland, June 3), and unless you have a T-14 hyperdrive, it’s about as close as you’re going to get to that Galaxy Far, Far Away.

The entire attraction has been upgraded—from the façade to the queue to the ride itself. Most importantly, the attraction received a 3D facelift courtesy of Industrial Light and Magic. But for this video first look hosted by The Clone Wars’ own Ashley Eckstein you won’t need to don your flight glasses (yes, that’s what Disney’s calling the requisite 3D eyewear). Check out the video after the break: READ FULL STORY

'Cougar Town' Penny Can calls continue: Watch Courteney Cox answer one

Okay, so the exclusive video embedded below of Courteney Cox answering her first 1-855-Penny-Can call backstage at Jimmy Kimmel Live! last week would have been funnier if the caller had said he wasn’t hoping to get her. But still, it’s visual proof that the cast, creators, and writers are taking turns with the phone, which ABC tells EW has been ringing non-stop. They’re still passing it around this week, so it’s not too late to roll the dice and dial. Has anyone gotten through to someone? Share your story below. (We’d like to applaud Courteney’s caller for ending the conversation gracefully before she had to.)  READ FULL STORY

'American Idol': Who would the contestants root for if they were eliminated?

Of course, the ultimate dream of every American Idol contestant is to win. But only one person per year gets that privilege; everyone else (except perhaps the runner-up) must be satisfied to watch the competition ultimately unfold without them. So who would the Season 10 crop of contestants root for if they themselves were eliminated? We asked the Top 11 that very question at the EW photo shoot featured in Wednesday’s performance show. You can check out EW’s Facebook page and “like” us (if you haven’t already) for access to exclusive video with their answers, but to whet your appetite, here’s a quick teaser: The two contestants eliminated this week, Thia Megia and Naima Adedapo, will be rooting for Casey Abrams, Lauren Alaina, and Jacob Lusk, but not necessarily in that order. You’ll have to head over to EW’s Facebook page to find out who is specifically rooting for whom. Ooo, mystery!

'American Idol': Behind the scenes at EW's photo shoot!

As you no doubt saw on Wednesday’s episode of American Idol, the top 11 contestants got all gussied up this week for a glamorous Entertainment Weekly photo shoot celebrating them all making the cut for the show’s big summer tour. In the first of many behind-the-scenes peeks at the shoot, see what the Idols think about their fancy ensembles. Who loves to get dolled up? Who is “always nervous” about being styled? Who picked out a dress once modeled by Kim Kardashian? (Hint: not Paul.) And, most important of all, would James “The Durbs” Durbin go sans tail? All will be revealed in the video clip below! Then check back throughout the next week for additional behind-the-scenes goodies. And for more reality-related ramblings, follow me on Twitter @EWDaltonRoss. READ FULL STORY

Jeff Probst on 'Survivor: Redemption Island': Episode 1

Each week, host Jeff Probst will answer a few questions about the most recent episode of Survivor: Redemption Island as well as offer up a tease for next week. (You can also see Jeff’s video blogs at jeffprobst.com.)

Okay, give us the lowdown on the helicopter ride to start the season. How did you not fall out of the back of that thing and plummet to your death? Not that we wanted that (even though it would have made for AMAZING television).

Hey, Dalton, Love the new Q&A and thanks for plugging my weekly episode vlog as well at Jeffprobst.com. Okay, let’s get to the opening shot from the helicopter. I have one safety strap that is attached around my waist under my shirt and is being held by one clip attached to the floor of the helicopter. The safety guys assure me that these straps never break and the clips never fail. Other than that there is no other back up. It is a bit of a risk but I go with the odds and the experts that I am relatively safe. Hanging out of the back end of a plane or helicopter is a rush and when the pilot banks hard to the left it is a real kick. I love it and selfishly I wish we could do it every season. 'Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars' videogame trailer -- EXCLUSIVE

The first Lego Star Wars game, released in 2005, re-imagined the prequel trilogy of George Lucas’ sci-fi saga through the criminally adorable lens of Lego characters and plastic bricks. The result was so wildly successful, it spawned an entire ecosystem of Lego [Insert Iconic Movie Title Here] videogames, including Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy in 2006, and a bundled Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga in 2007. (Other Lego games include Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, and Batman.)

Now, after a four year wait, EW can exclusively debut the trailer for Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars. Based on the popular Cartoon Network series, the rated-E10+ game features new sprawling ground campaigns and new ways of using the Force. Still the same? Those Lego figures remain criminally adorable. Check out the trailer below:  READ FULL STORY

TV Insiders podcast: EW experts chat with 'Survivor' villain NaOnka about jury controversy, talk Christmas movie cliches, and preview the 'Walking Dead' finale

Image Credit: Scott Garfield/AMC; Disney Enterprises; Monty Brinton/CBS

If you thought Survivor: Nicaragua villain-turned-quitter NaOnka Mixon regrets the way she tackled a one-legged woman, berated a nice little surfer boy, stole the tribe’s food or turned on best buddy Brenda…think again! “I don’t regret s—” she announces on this week’s edition of the TV Insiders podcast. NaOnka called in to discuss her impressive lack of remorse as well as whether she thought Jeff Probst would allow her on the jury after quitting (“He gave me the easy way out”) and how some parents of the kids she teaches gym to want her fired after seeing how she acted on the show. (Shocking, I know.) A clearly dumbfounded Michael Slezak and Annie Barrett also chime in about this week’s controversial episode. But that’s not all! On Sunday night The Walking Dead will finish its all too brief run of cable television dominance. We’ve seen the season finale, and will tell you what to expect not only this Sunday, but beyond for season 2 as well. Zombie guru Clark Collis joins us to break down the season so far, and reveal why you’re going to be glued to your set on Sunday. On a lighter note, ’tis the season for really horrible TV Christmas movies. There are 16 new ones heading to the small screen this month, and our man Dan Snierson watched every single one of them for our annual Holiday Movie Cliché Checklist. Dan will tell us which categories came up big winners this year (Dramatic Plug-in of Lights, Poignant Stare at Old Photo, Elf High Jinks) and which ones simply didn’t make the cut (Concern About Santa’s Diet, Orphan/Dog Given New Home). You’ll never look at holiday movies the same way again. Come to think of it, you may never look at holiday movies again—period. To join in all the fun, just click on the audio player below. And in the best news of all, we’re now on iTunes! You can subscribe for free right here and take the TV Insiders with you on the go. Where you go exactly is completely up to you. TV Insiders podcast: Maks from 'DWTS' talks smack, Brenda from 'Survivor' discusses her shocking exit, and we tell you why 'Grey's Anatomy' is back!

Image Credit: Adam Rose/ABC; Monty Brinton/CBS; Adam Larkey/ABC

If you thought Maksim Chmerkovskiy was upset about not making the final three on Dancing With the Stars…well, you were right! Brandy’s butt-slapping partner called in for our latest edition of the TV Insiders podcast to discuss not making the finals (“This is bulls—”), his reaction to a verbal confrontation with a certain female judge (“Screw Carrie Ann”) and whether he was, in fact, wearing a thong during his week 8 waltz  (you’ll have to listen to find out!). You have to hear it to believe it…and even then you still may not believe it. But Maks isn’t the only reality standout calling this week. The self-proclaimed king — not queen, mind you — of Survivor: Nicaragua, Brenda Lowe, also phoned in to defend not only her refusal to scramble for votes, but also the woman who backstabbed her: NaOnka. And if scripted fare is more your thing, Jennifer Armstrong joins Michael Slezak, Annie Barrett and yours truly to discuss why Grey’s Anatomy has again attained must-watch status after a rocky couple of seasons. It’s the most action-packed episode of the TV Insiders yet! You can download all the madness straight to your mp3 player, or click on the video player below to enjoy all the podcast magic right here and right now. Plus, if you have a question for the TV Insiders, you can tweet it to @EWDaltonRoss. Okay, prepare yourself for Maks and Brenda unleashed…
